Your best tactics/bait/rigs: All methods worked well, although it seemed pop-up presentations were preffered. Carp bait uk kt30 & the form. Mainline cell, essentials b% & carpballs

General comments: What a week we've had and loved every minute! Can't thank chris, steph and family enough for their hospitality!
The fishing at alder is superb - action 24/7 from some of the cleanest hard fighting carp i've known.
Beautiful setting, really peaceful and very natural, alder is everything you want from a carp fishing holiday.
The food package is not to be missed either!!!

Details of your catches: Only 3 of us fishing on this trip, jamie 15 carp to 35lb 8oz total 385lb 8oz. Sam 31 carp to 38lb 6oz total 754lb 8oz. Bob 11 carp to 41lb 8oz total 246lb 8oz. Our combined total was 57 carp 1386lb 8oz. All mirrors except for 3 grass carp.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Quest baits out fished any other gurka spice, chili choc and rahja spice in that order fished over a bed of lake pellet. The open water off the point was the best spot for sam and he caught most of his fish on the same rod.

General comments: This is our second visit to alder/notaires, if you want to enjoy rural france at its best then this is the place for you. The thursday market in nearby boussac is not to be missed. Chris, steph and family are fantastic and will go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. We will return.

General comments: Food package great.

Weather not expected for late march, ranging from 26deg c down to -2. Clear all week. Better than expected considering time of year.

Food package great, all 3 of us would reccommend this to a friend.

General comments: The lake is beautiful with plenty of wildlife and the fish are in mint condition. Cooking was good and chris n wife were very good hosts and really nice people. Breakfast is a meal to look forward to with sleepless nights fishing.

General comments: Our second time at this venue and will definitely come again. A warm welcome from chris & steph and animals. Accommodation is ideal with lovely views, plenty of space a log fire and most importantly a big oven. The fishing was very good with all fish putting up a good fight, the fish are in great condition and the surrounding areas are so beautiful and tranquil as a whole. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and bring on next year. Tight lines
