General
- SECURITY DEPOST; Before, or on arrival, you will be asked to provide a £150 (150€) security deposit. This will be returned at the end of the week providing everything is left in good condition. We would prefer a PayPal payment as this is very simple to refund
- Arrival – not before 2pm (unless agreed in advance)
- Departure - no later than 10am
- It is permissable to drive along the banks to off-load and re-load angling gear. At all other times vehicles to be parked near the lodge
- Vehicles are not allowed off the track. Please drive carefully and considerately around the estate. Speed limit 15mph
- The shower room will be locked at 10pm – 7am.
- Row boats not allowed but bait boats are allowed
- No lakeside fires, other than camping or angling stoves
- Please use the bins provided for litter and cigarette ends. Please do not discard ANYTHING on the banks and fields (cigarette butts, teabags etc). If we have to collect litter there will be a charge
- No swimming in the lake
Protecting the fish
- Maximum three rods per angler. Rods must not be left unattended when lines are in the water
- Absolutely no sacking or retaining of fish allowed
- Carp cots, weigh slings and landing nets must be disinfected before use
- A suitable antiseptic treatment like Klin-Ik must be used at all times
- Minimum 15lb mainline, fish safe rigs, micro-barb or barbless hooks only
- Braided leaders must be coated or covered. Lead core is not allowed
- No particles (except tinned sweetcorn/carp pellets or pre-prepared particles purchased on site) and no nuts of any type
- No baits to be used which contain artificial preservatives
Use of the Alder fishing lodge
- Please remove muddy boots & no smoking inside the lodge
- No utensils, plates, cups, pans, furniture etc to be removed from the lodge. Missing or broken items will be charged for
- Please do not put anything other than toilet paper down the toilets – our facility uses a composting system and any other object will block the pipes
- Please let us know immediately of any missing items, breakdowns or defects, so that we can rectify the problem rapidly
- Please leave the lodge in a clean and tidy condition for the next anglers. Cleaning will be charged for
- Recycling is mandatory in France, please use the bins provided to segregate waste. If we have to sort rubbish there will be a charge
- Please respect the tranquility of our neighbourhood by keeping noise such as radios, television etc., to an acceptable level
