Lake Rules at Barringtons

Please take the time to read the fishery rules and regulations below. These rules are for the benefit of everybody at Barrington's. Anglers following in your footsteps wish to find it as you have.

Arrival time: 12.30pm, unfortunately there can be no admittance to the site before this time 
Departure time: no later than 10am

  

  • No unattended rods - extra care must be taken when fishing close to snags

 

  • Please take great care of the fish. All fish to be returned to the lake immediately after weighing, applying antiseptic and taking photos

 

  • Only particles purchased on site to be used

 

  • 3 rods max per angler

 

  • Micro barbed hooks only - no crushed barbs and no barbless hooks

 

  • No hooks smaller than size 8 or larger than size 2 to be used

 

  • No braided mainlines or leaders including Safe Zone, rig tubing is encouraged

 

  • Use rigs that are safe for the fish, if in doubt ask

 

  • No nuts, halibut pellets or trout pellets

 

  • Bait boats are allowed

 

  • All vehicles to be parked in the designated parking area

 

  • No swimming and no inflatable boats or similar

 

  • No tree climbing and no fires

 

  • Drink responsibly (accidents that happen under the influence of alcohol are not covered by French public liability insurance)

 

  • Fishing during lightning storms is not advised and is done so at your own risk

 

  • Fishing is strictly limited to Barrington’s - DO NOT fish the neighbouring lake which is private property

 

  • Please treat the site and nature with respect, leave all litter (which includes cigarette ends and bottle tops) in the bins provided and leave your swim in the manner that you would wish to find it

 

  • All unused baits to be taken home, binned or donated to the bailiff. Do not dispose into the lake

 

  • No loud radios

 

  • Ready-made / shelf life boilies are not allowed, good quality freezer boilies only

 

  • Dogs allowed by prior arrangement only

 

  • We reserve the right to terminate your stay with us if we judge your behaviour to be unacceptable to our fish, our staff, other clients or any other person or which may contravene our regulations

 

  • Barry and Yve reserve the right to fish or invite guests to fish the lake at any time unless the lake is booked exclusively for the week.
