Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes, but spawning killed this lake for the time we were there the group before us (previous week) bagged up, but there was only 4 or 5 fish caught on the lake all week whilst we were there ,would go again but later to avoid disappointment.
Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes. Easy to find a nice lake in general but not many features and a bit snaggy.,

General comments: Good all round quick and easy to find nice owners, shame about our timing re spawning,the owner said it was earlier than usual so would bear it in mind, but what can you do that's fishing.

Details of your catches: 50 plus fish, 53lb, 52lb 3oz, 50lb, 7 x 40s to 45lb 8oz, 15 30s to 37lb 8oz and loads of 20s to 29lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: All tactics worked, spodding bait, spredding bait, small batches of bait and single baits. Any sweet or fruit boillies tipped with tiger nuts worked best. Most fish came from cell, scopex with robin red and chocolate orange boillies.

Were the facilities what you expected? Great facilities all you need for a weeks fishing

General comments: It was dredfull weather all week with gale force winds and rain at times but this did not affect the fishing at all. My mate phil had the lake record at 53lb within a couple of hours fishing when we first got there and we did not stop chatching after that. Get behide the wind and in the deep water and you cant fail. Fish were even taking baits on the drop as soon as i opened my bait boat ! I think we would of had a lot more fish but 4 of my mates had to leave on wednesday due to one of them falling ill.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Abs marlarky boilies fished over boilie and spod mix. Most fish came from 3pm onwards through the nite. Weather was up and down -3 on the tuesday nite slowed the fishing down slightly.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes new cabin good for a social and meal times.

General comments: Overall good venue owners very helpful would go back.

General comments: Fishing was hard but the fish that came out were in perfect condition and some good weights . Most fish came at night , none of us had runs during the 10.am -7.00pm. The spit wasnt fishable due to water levels but this posed no problem. Most of the big fish came from deep water but fish were caught in margins and mid water. We arrived a little early to greet the previous anglers who had already packed up and were leaving so not sure about the comments about us walking around while that were packing away . I would defo go back to this venue lake owner is very helpfull . Watch out for the fox he likes footwear lol and will come in your bivvy!! Any advice heres my email bunse123@hotmail.co.uk

Details of your catches: 12 fish on this trip my two sons did not catch this year so was dissapointed for them biggest 45lb smallest 18lb last years trip we had 26 fish.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Fishing over a bed of pellet with boilies

Were the facilities what you expected? The facilities have improved from last year an extra cabin and the little cooker and sink has been taken out and is not in the same room as the toilet and shower much better.
Were you happy with them? They are much more suited now if the lake is not been booked inclusive by a group the shower or toilet can be used without someone being unable to cook .

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes ideal journey time and facilities

General comments: While packing up next group arrived @ 9.30 a bit annoying when there not supposed to turn up for 12.00 they start walking round the venue on our time to pack away.
