Details of your catches: 21 fish caught in total. This includes: 7 carp in the 20's, including a 28lb 10oz mirror and a 27lb 12oz common. Plus 6 sturgeon ranging from 20-23lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Cell bollies.

Were the facilities what you expected? The accommodation was not as clean as we expected and had read in previous comments. There is unsightly mould and mildew in the bathroom. Overall it seemed a little neglected. Once we had a clean up and got the fire going we were comfortable and found the accommodation adequate and the lounge cosy. The swims were also a little overgrown.
Were you happy with them? Everything you need is there, but some things were a little tired and broken. (dvd player, hoover...)

General comments: Overall we had a great weeks fishing. We were amazed how active the fish were considering how cold it was. The fishing was good sport and kept us busy and entertained. We would love to come back as long as we were assured improvements had been made.

Were the facilities what you expected? Worse
Were you happy with them? No, the lodge was dirty. There was no clean bedding, i had to wash the bedding before using. There was a smell of damp in all the rooms. There were no facilities to clean up, eg. No mop bucket, hoover was broken, no washing up bowl, no plug for the sink. *** owners note; really sorry you found the property in this state. The hoover has been fixed & we are going over this weekend (22.10.11) to address all remaining issues ***
