Rules at Mas Bas Main Lake

IMPORTANT NOTE; A FRENCH FISHING LICENCE IS REQUIRED AT THIS VENUE.  THE COST IS 30€ PER ANGLER AND IT CAN BE PURCHASED ON ARRIVAL

Security Deposit;  The deposit - £150 for Lake House and £100 for Lotus and Willow Cottages – can be paid either:

• On arrival to the owners in cash (£’s or Euros)
  
  
• Sent by cheque to the owners to be received at least 7 days before your holiday – an addressed envelope has been provided for your use.  This cheque will be cashed

Refunded deposits will be returned to you by a cheque in the post.  This will be sent during the week following your holiday. 

Lake Rules

• Only paying guests are allowed on the lake. The lead angler (the one who made the booking) is responsible for any damage caused
  
  
• Please do not use the bankside as a toilet.  People found to be leaving faeces anywhere around the lake will be asked to leave immediately
  
  
• Bivvies or tents must be green.  Radios must be used quietly. Fires are not allowed.  Swimming is not allowed.  Please leave no litter, cigarette ends and bottle tops must also be disposed of correctly
  
  
• The cutting of trees, bushes or lotus flowers is strictly forbidden
  
  
• The owners are not responsible for loss or theft during your stay.  No refund given for early departure
  
  
• The owners have the right to inspect fishing tackle and may stop the use of incorrect equipment, e.g. barbed hooks, small landing nets or unhooking mats
  
  
• Unhooking mats must be used (they are available for rent) 
  
  
• Rods must not be left unattended
  
  
• Please use a carp anti-sceptic like "klin-ik" if necessary
  
  
• You will be asked to leave for improper behaviour of any kind

Accommodation Rules

• Please arrive after 4pm and leave no later than 10am
  
  
• Guests are asked to pay a security deposit (£150 for Lake House, £100 for Lotus & Willow) which is fully refunded if the cottages are left clean & tidy with no breakages
  
  
• Heating; logs are available for the wood burning stove FOC.  If you require the gas central heating on an additional charge is payable for each cottage. Please speak to Lesley or Gilles before you switch it on – they will explain the system to you and the costs
  
  
• BBQ’s must be left clean at the end of your stay

• None of the inside furniture, soft furnishings or bedding is allowed to be used outside

• Lights to be switched off during the daytime 

Cleaning

• The houses are clean and tidy for your arrival. If you should find anything not working correctly, or have any complaints, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do all that we can to put things right

• Two hours of cleaning per week is included in your rental price for holidays of two weeks or more.  This will be organised at a mutually convenient time

• We ask you to leave the house as you find it on arrival. If you would like us to supply cleaners to help you with the final clean please let us know at the beginning of the last week of your holiday. The rate is £10 (15€) per hour. This can either be paid in cash or deducted from your deposit
