Details of your catches: Had 5 mirror carp,40lb,36lb 2oz, 31lb 8oz, 27lb 2oz, 26lb 8oz. 8 anglers in total - 21 carp to 44lb. 1 grass carp & 1 catfish.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: All methods worked, fishing to the island was more productive than open water. Bait, all baits worked.

General comments: 3rd time at the moly - the weather was terrible, it rained everyday with gale force winds. Wally & helen looked after us, wally was always on hand to help & helens home cooking was awesome. Would definitely recommend the food package!
A few pb's for some of the anglers and overall we had a relaxing time in spite of the inclement weather.

Details of your catches: We had 48 to 50 carp out in total. Biggest was a 42.12oz common with another 2 x 40's both mirrors. Plenty of 30's to 38lb. I had 17, reece had 10, matt had 10 and darren and johnny had what was left between them.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Fishing boilies only to the island, reece fished differently using more particle. Just a great lake.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, really good
Were you happy with them? Yes, food package was great. Best bailiffs so far.

General comments: Of 15 to 20 trips abroad in the past, this was our best trip so far. The overall experience was great. We had really constant bad weather too, but very happy with the average size fish in the mid thirties.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes plenty of hot water for showers, very clean and tidy place, plenty of room for bivvys at the swims.
Were you happy with them? Very couldn't ask for more. Food package is a must

General comments: Another brilliant week at molyneux, the weather didn't help the fishing at the start of the week, but a bit of patience payed off, catching 3 of the fish i had in one night.
Wally and helen are doing a fantastic job at molyneux making for the perfect week. Can't wait to get back.

Details of your catches: 27lb, 30lb, 35lb.6oz, 38lb.2oz, 45lb.2oz (and a 7lb tench)

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Single hookbaits topped with giant plastic corn on 5" rigs presented in a pva bag with 5-6 boilies and pellet, 3.5oz square pear and dark matter rig tubing! Fished to the island with a kilo of pre-soaked pellet/boilies/particle per rod.

General comments: This is my 6th 'angling lines' venue and molyneux is the best lake i have been to!!

Wally and helen are personable 'salt of the earth' people that during my stay worked hard to make me comfortable and ensure i had everything i needed! Food was excellent and i would highly recommend the food package.

Wally was always on hand to offer advice and was always willing to take photos of your fish if needed which when fishing alone is always a nice touch!!

The lake itself is beautiful with more wildlife than i have seen at any lake with swans,geese,ducks,red squirrels and bats.

Each swim offers a good choice of spots to fish to, the island is accessible from all swims. The swims are well made and have 'safe' well made platforms with steps down to the water so you dont have to struggle when lifting your fish from the water.

This lake is not described as a 'runs water' but with the right approach the results can be very rewarding.

A great lake i would recommend to anyone!!
