Lake Rules at Molyneux

  • Please arrive by 11am for a walk round the lake
  • The draw for swims will take place at 12noonAny anglers that arrive late and miss the draw can choose from remaining pegs.  Sorry, no waiting for late arrivals
  • Car access is possible all around the lake for unloading, but vehicles must then be returned to the car park area... you cannot park behind your swim.
  • The lakeside cabin is available from 2pm

  • Please depart no later than 10.30am

  • For those who’ve asked for it, breakfast will be served at 9am
  • 3 rod maximum
  • No leadcore or any other form of leader to be used. Tubing only.
  • Barbed hooks only, no Long shank Hooks or Bent Hooks which include patterns like NAILERS, MUGGA and FOX SERIES 5 or any similar patterns. If in any doubt about a particular hook pattern please speak to the bailiff before you arrive
  • Minimum 12lb Breaking strain mainline. No braid as mainlines (but it can be used on marker and spod rods) 

  • At Molyneux we supply all anglers with Avid unhooking cradles and Fox weigh slings for use at the lake. We do not supply landing nets which should be brought by the anglers and must have a minimum of 42" wide arms. There are large carp in the lake and their safety is paramount. 
  • No fish are to be retained for more than a few minutes, anyone caught sacking or retaining fish for longer will be asked to leave.
  • If you wish to use the boat to bait up, then please inform Wally, the bailiff, who will come to your swim and take you out on the boat to do so.  Life jackets are supplied and MUST always be worn when in the boat
  • Particles - only properly prepared & cooked particles sold at the lake are allowed. Particles available onsite are - maize, hemp & party blend

  • Pellets - only those sold at the lake are allowed. Please do not bring your own, as you will not be allowed to use them. This is to ensure only low oil content pellets are used for the carp’s safety 
  • Only paying guests are allowed on the lake. The angler is responsible for any damage caused.  The owners cannot be held responsible for loss or theft during your stay. No refund given for early departure

  • People found leaving faeces anywhere around the lake will be asked to leave immediately. You will be asked to leave for improper behaviour of any kind
  • Please, no swimming in lake and standard regard for litter and levels of noise
  • No anglers under the age of 16 to fish alone, they must all be accompanied by a capable adult angler fishing the same swim. 
  • No  'Goo' style products to be used (anyone found using these products will be asked to leave immediately.)
