Security Deposit: On arrival you will be asked to provide a £150 security deposit. This will be returned at the end of the week providing everything is left in good condition. We would prefer a UK cheque (which will not be cashed) but will accept cash (£’s or Euros) if a cheque is not convenient.
Whilst we are aware that the majority of our customers will be experienced anglers, we regrettably still have to apply some rules to the use of our venue and for the protection of the fish stock. These rules are as follows and will be enforced.
Protecting the fish:
- Maximum three rods per angler
- Rods must not be left unattended when lines are in the water
- Absolutely no sacking or retaining of fish allowed
- Carp cots and weigh slings are provided on site and must be used to prevent cross-contamination
- Landing nets must be dipped before use to prevent cross-contamination
- A suitable antiseptic treatment (such as Klin-Ik) must be used at all times
- Minimum 15lb mono mainline, no bent hook rigs or braided mainline, micro-barb or barbless hooks only
- No particles (except tinned sweetcorn/carp pellets or pre-prepared particles purchased at Oakview) and no nuts of any type
Use of the on-site accommodation:
- Arrival at the venue – not before 4pm please, unless agreed in advance
- Departure from the venue – no later than 10am
- Please remove muddy boots before entering the lodge
- No smoking inside the lodge
- Please do not put anything other than toilet paper down the toilets – our facility uses a septic tank and any other object will block the pipes and you will be held responsible for the cost of the unblocking!
- Please let us know immediately of any missing items, breakdowns or defects, so that we can rectify the problem rapidly
- Please leave the lodge and barbeque in a clean and tidy condition for the next occupant
- Please respect the tranquility of our neighbourhood by keeping noise such as radios, television etc., to an acceptable level
General:
- Bait boats allowed
- No lakeside fires please, other than camping or angling stoves
- Please use the bins provided for litter and cigarette ends
- No swimming in the lake and do not tamper with the life buoys provided
- The management reserve the right to inspect fishing tackle
- There is a large chest freezer where visitors can keep their bait and also an ordinary 60cm freezer for visitors food. Both of these are in the bait shed and there is always plenty of space.
