Details of your catches: 24 fish between 5 of us in freezing conditions to 53.10. Average size of fish about 30lb. They are putting on weight each year.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Fish held up dam end in deeper water - angler there took 14. Rest of us struggled to be honest picking up fish in the milder spells we had in shallower water.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, 3rd trip but portacabin looking tired and floor a bit dodgy!
Were you happy with them? Yes adequate and kept clean by gerard the bailiff.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes based on previous trips not this one due to cold poor conditions!
Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes spot on.

Details of your catches: Great week lots of carp 25 to 30 fish biggest just over 50lbs and a lovely 47lb er as well lots of 20's and 30's. One carp was even stalked out :-) these fish did not fight hard though until they were on the mat!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Mostly off the far bank, don't need to be exact anywhere up to 20m off the bank will do. Used bottom baits , pop ups everything worked. Just pellet and boilies pegs 5 and 7 did best overall.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, as expected but had some problem with the electric and they came each day to reset it, but wasn't a problem.
Were you happy with them? Yes, thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip even though the weather was awful!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes, i'd tell people to go there.
Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes, definitely

Details of your catches: 13 fish caught to 37lb.however 4 of the party did not catch due to all the fish holding up in the pads at the bottom of the lake,where there is only one swim,and they cant be got at.this is definately a problem.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Raja,maple and the nuts boilies.

Were the facilities what you expected? Good but too far away from all but one angler

General comments: Feel the stock levels could be increased,not enough for 20 acres,and when the fish hold up down one end you cant fish this due to only one swim.feel a bit dissapointed as this was the only water available after we were double booked on our original venue(not angling lines fault)but the owner of the lake.no pictures available as i was one of the party that had a big massive blank!!!

General comments: Lovely tranquil settiing. Although i suspect the average weight of fish is below that of 30lb's as stated on the angling lines website!!. That all said, i would return to sapphie in the future.
