We will organise your holiday so that you can concentrate on the fishing. We will arrange your trip as a one stop service, whether it's for an individual, a family or a large group. We will book your venue, sort out the travel arrangements and insurance, send out confirmations, detailed directions and any other relevant information …. so all you need to do is relax and concentrate on the fishing. If you require advice, such as what sort of tackle you will need, or the best fishing methods … just ask. We want your holiday to be both enjoyable and successful.
Services we can offer:
- booking ferries / tunnel
- travel insurance
- organised trips (including transport) and bait.
Unless otherwise stated, our example prices for the French venues include fishing and are based on 4 people travelling low season in a car (with roof rack) or people carrier.
How to book
Booking couldn’t be easier, call or email us to check the exact cost and make your provisional booking. We will hold these dates for you for 7 days, by which time we expect to receive your completed booking form and deposit.
Please read the booking form carefully. If you do not know some of the detailed information such as what vehicle you will be taking, don't worry, you can send those details later. It is important we receive the booking form and deposit within 7 days of the provisional booking or you may risk losing your space.
Payment can be made by cheque, debit or credit card (payment by credit card does attract a 3% surcharge to cover bank charges). Please make cheques payable to Angling Lines Ltd..
Fishing permits are only required on one of our venues – Mas Bas. They are NOT required on any other venue.
Passport & other Documents
A valid passport is required - please don’t leave this until the last minute! If traveling by car or minibus, your insurance, driving license and owners registration documents should also be taken.
Driving in France
Driving in France is usually a pleasure - the roads and motorways are not as crowded as in England and pass through some wonderful scenery. We will supply you with detailed directions and information on motorway tolls etc, so you are well prepared. The costs of diesel and petrol is generally much cheaper and the motorways have numerous service stations and rest areas where you can stop and rest or picnic in pleasant surroundings. Click here to learn more about driving in France.
Plan a Route
We use the Michelin Web site to help us plan the best routes to a venue in France. You can choose the quickest route (usually using motorways which charge tolls) or the more scenic journey. Click here to access the site.
We all hope nothing will go wrong but if it does you need to be prepared... we offer very competitive rates for insurance - it really doesn’t cost that much to have the peace of mind & we can arrange all this for you.
Even if you speak no French at all the language need not be a problem. Most venues are English spoken and we will also provide you with a sheet of useful words and phrases. However, because we have booked everything in advance there should be no real problems for you to contend with. You will always find the owners of the lakes helpful and welcoming and we remain only a phone call away at any time….you can call both our French and English numbers.
The Angling Lines Team
David Keep is our Managing Director. A dedicated carp angler himself, he has fished most of the major French waters taking carp to 53lbs. "Being a carp angler myself I've a pretty good idea of what you need from a carp fishing holiday. Choosing the right venue is very important - lets face it we don't get many holidays each year! We're proud of the venues we're working with currently - I'm sure you can find something to suit you."
Bridget Dawson is our Sales Director and is likely to be the person you speak to for more information Her knowledge of the venues is second to none. "I appreciate that each angler is looking for something different from their carp fishing holiday - it might be lots of fish, size of fish, facilities on offer, distance to travel. Using my first hand knowledge of the venues it's my job to help ensure we meet and exceed your requirements for the perfect holiday. We set up the business more than10 years ago and our reputation is based on that personal effort to get things right first time. Our clients seem to appreciate this and keep coming back... and believe me, there’s no nicer feeling than picking up the phone to take a repeat booking!”

Linda Latham Linda works alongside Bridget in the sales team and may well be the person you speak to on the phone. Linda also covers the phones some evenings and alternate Saturday/Sunday mornings. Since starting this job she has become a keen carp angler herself and we are pleased to say her PB currently stands at 42lb, caught at Mas Bas, one of the Angling Lines venues. “Carp fishing is infectious and just like everyone else in the business helping folk choose the right holiday to try to fulfil their dreams means an awful lot”

Julie Crookes is our Office Manager and is responsible for the day to day running of the business. "We aim to run an efficient and friendly business. Sorting yourself out for a fishing holiday is stressful enough without having to worry about ferry tickets, directions, lake rules etc, etc. That's our job - to take the stress away from you so you can enjoy your holiday."
The end result is that we have a pretty good idea of what makes a good fishing venue and what doesn't, both for the independent angler and those who want to take along the family. With this experience we aim to offer an unrivalled service to our customers.
We give an honest appraisal of all our venues, including fish stocks and facilities, and ensure that our high standards are maintained through site visits. We listen carefully to all feedback, using it to further improve our service.
