Early season success at Margot
The first session of 2011 was a great success for Paul Smith and 2 mates. Between them they banked 65 carp including 10 x 30′s to 38.08, 1 x 40 of 40.08 and 4 x 30lb grass carp.
Over to Paul;
” It was freezing at night with 2 nights down to -3°c. While it was frosty the lake fished really well and once some so called decent conditions arrived it virtually shut down! The sunny days even allowed us to do some stalking which was a bonus. When they were having it everything seemed to catch, tigers, boilies and pellet. Pop ups didn’t work quite as well. Avoid the silty areas.
For an early march trip with some arctic conditions it was fantastic.”
