46lb – the new Vaux record
A total of 18 carp were banked by the Keenor party during the week commencing 16th July when there were PBs all round for Lloyd, Aaron and Ryan.
First to catch was Lloyd on the 17th, when he landed a 21.02 common, plus a 32lb mirror, but he then went on to top them on the 21st with his PB, a 41.07 common!
The 20th was Ryan’s day when he caught two commons each weighing in at 24lb, plus his PB of a 39.12 mirror.
However, the 18th July was Aaron’s day. He started out with a 20lb common, but an hour later he banked the visitor lake record of a 46lb mirror, his PB, followed shortly after that by a 38.06 mirror and later in the day by another mirror of 26.05.
With two forties and 4 thirties amongst the 18 carp, they achieved an average weight of 26.05 for the week.
