Danny I’m fishing with you in April and i would like a lot of advice before i get to the lake. I was thinking of stuff around bait good spot to fish or even the best factor sun cream ha ha.

There is 12 of us including my dad and step uncle and their mates and i want to get a heads up on them because they have had their decent fish in their time and personally i think I’m guaranteed a big one in your lake.

Thank you, Danny May

Danny:

Thank you your email I look forward to meeting you all but I have too say, no one is guarenetee’d to catch a big one, of that I am very sure !

If you are visiting in April, be sure to bring some warm waterproof clothing with you as we can not guarentee the weather during the earlier part of the year.

On the fishing front, its so easy pile in the bait, sit back and wait but the reality is, nearer the time, its best to mail me for the most up to the minute news on how its been fishing around that time.

I’ll wait for your messages and then I can advise whats happening here at the time.

Danny

Rob:
Hi Danny

I am coming for a week in October and am really looking forward to it. My question is regarding the food package! I have been to France a few times and have always taken the food package. I promised myself I wouldn’t do this again as I felt I was reeling my rods in at the best times to catch carp!! I’m sure I am not the only one thinking this, is there a way around this, what is the Gigantica solution?

Hopefully meet you and a few of the boys in october

Kind regards
Rob Kendall

Danny:

Robert,

I fully understand your predicament but we, as the majority of other lakes can only offer good food presented hot and tasty so long as you visit the dining area. We do not deliver food to swims as we just can not offer the best food in that situation.

Obviously, we are aware that you have to reel in but we cant see another way round it. However, in Oct, most of the fish come throughout the night so, having to reel in for breakfast and dinner, having baits out the water for the few short hours shouldnt impact on your fishing too much.

I hope this clarifys your questions. Feel free to contact me at anytime should you have further questions.

Danny

Dan:
hi Danny

I have a few questions about fishing at Gigantica

What is the lake bed? (so i know for the rig tubing).
What size hook?
What test curve on the rod?
What bait have you experienced the best results on?

Thank you

Dan

Danny:

Daniel,

The lake bed is gravel with a thin ( 7-8cm of soft clay ) virtually the whole lake bed is the same. Korda Gravel and clay rig components suit very well and we sell Gigantica coloured coated leads as well.

I advise larger hooks, a size 4 generally, small hooks will not catch you any more fish, just lose them.

The bait that generally catches the majority of the captures per week is the excellant Mainline Cell boilie, we always have sufficent in stock should you reqire bait.

Test cureve on the rod is your choice, I prefer slightly heavier T.C. as I use very big leads and heavy mainlines however, some of our clients have used rods as small as 2lb t.c. though, for me personnally, I think anything over 2 3/4 suitable.

I hope this has answered all your questions fully but should you require additional information, please feel free to contact me at any time.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Danny

Dodge:
Hello Danny
I’m down to visit your lake this July 10th & was wondering about photo shots! I will be bring a camera of own but it only has a 10sec max delay on it if i was to take a shot myself. I will be coming down on my own. So if i was to catch, would it be best to ask the angler in the next swim or should i contact Danny T to help out?

Regards Graham aka Dodge

Danny:

Dodge,

If its over 40, we ask you to call me at anytime so I can come out and make sure everything is ok, we can then get the best shots for you.

Monique:

Hello Danny,
We, Robert and Monique, are husband and wife, we both like to fish for carp.  We want to ask you something about the swims.  On the internet site we read that the numbers of the swims are drawn on arrival but can we fish together then?  We have one large tent & 6 rods… is there a swim to fish together?  Thank you.

Regards Robert and Monique

Danny:

Monique,

We have 3 double swims here at Gigantica and one other that is extremely close too one another. If you draw early and pick one of these swims you can fish together. There are big swims but just how big is your ‘tent’ ? if it is so big, you might not be able to fit it in the swims.

I look forward too meeting you in the near future. If you have additional questions to ask, feel free, thats what Im here for.

Regards,

Danny

Andy:
Hi Danny,

I will be fishing Gjgantica 1-7 May. If you was fishing the same week which swims would you fish and how would you bait up. Would you fish just over bollies or would you put down a bed of monkey sick and particles or all 3?

many thanks, Andy

Danny:

Andy,

As we draw for swims, you dont get a choice of swims unless you come out first, then Id be inclined to choose a swim that suits your style of fishing. Id also like the wind to be pushin into that area as well, then Id bait with boilies, nothing else as they love boilies.

For amounts, Id mail me the week before for an up to the minute report on how its fishing and then tailor your approach to suit.

I hope this helps clarify your question, but feel free to contact me again should you have any further questions.

I look forward to meeting you.

Danny
