I HAVE TO AGREE. MY RESUALTS IMPROVED BY 100% HAVING SWITCHED TO MONO HOOK LINKS IN THE LATE 90S.HOWEVER THESE DAYS I ONLY USE FLURO HOOKLINKS OR COATED BRAIDS BY KORDA OR KRYSTON.

Yes, for me also it would be a coated braid and if I had to name one it would be Kryston Super Mantis in 25lb. I normally strip back an inch but have often used it unstripped and it works well like that.
I like the Korda Hybrid a lot, but I have found that the very fine inner braid which is excellent for presentation, tends to cut into, or rub against the carps mouth, and for this reason I stopped using it.
Kryston Snakeskin is excellent for use with small baits and small hooks like a single grain of maize on a size 8 or 10, the multi-strand inner allows the bait to behave like a free grain, this is an excellent edge in winter.
