The under 16′s record was broken at Oakwood 2 weeks ago by Alex Lorient, aged 14, with a stunning 37lb 6oz mirror.
Alex said ” The bright sunshine really got them feeding today. Upon arrival I could see fish moving at the back of the swim and I didn’t have to wait long before the rod was bent in two. An eventful fight followed but I manged to slip the net under her in the end! My next target is a forty”
Alex fished the island swim using Baitcraft T1 bolies and also had 2 other fish over 20lb in his short day session.
