Mick Haynes is back for his second visit of the year to Oakview . We saw him take the individual angler record earlier in the year with his catch of 43 carp totalling 985 lbs.
This time he said that he’s targeting quality rather than quantity. Is that really possible?
Well, it’s still early in the week but Mick topped his PB with a 32lb 6oz mirror on day one. Yesterday he banked a 30lb 12oz mirror and lost “a very big fish at the net”.
This morning’s quality fish was a 31lb 14oz mirror.
3 x 30’s in a row with the first 3 fish banked and it all started with a new PB. Is that just pure luck? I guess the answer to that is if you have the watercraft, you make your own luck!
It’s the first time an Oakview angler has taken 3 x 30’s with his first 3 fish. That’s yet another Oakview record Mick has just chalked up.
