Richard with the new Vaux record – 44.02
On 26th May brothers Richard and Matthew Bower caught six carp between them, including two 36lb’ers to Matthew. But the first fish of the day and the new Angler Lake Record went to Richard who landed a 44lb 02oz mirror.
The last photograph we have of that carp was when it came out to Kevin Potterill at 39lb 04oz in April 2010.
A little earlier in the week, Matthew had banked his PB, a 39lb 07oz mirror. They had a good week, catching 24 carp between them, including eight thirties.
