I am pleased to announce that we have just stocked a further 30 carp into Oakwood Fisheries. All the fish were between 25 – 41 lbs and were stocked in the falling snow!

Many fish of over 30lbs were carefully released into the lake and were all hand picked. A mixture of both mirror and common carp all stunning fish and fast growers being only 6 – 8 years old at the moment.

With our winter feeding programme in place these fish should settle in quickly and show good weight gains as well as the original stock and be in tip top condition for the new season.

Every group of anglers we had out in 2010 managed to land carp of over 30lb’s and many PB’s were broken so the new stocking should ensure the fishing is superb in 2011.

One of our regulars has already e-mailed me after seeing the pictures on the gallery and said the new forty was a real “peach” and suggested this as a name, which we all agree suits her so the first person to bank her in 2011 will receive 50% off there next booking here!
