French carping at Molyneux
Molyneux in its summer clothes
.

Just a quick update to let you all know that the winter carp fishing at Molyneux is superb at the moment.

Jack (the Roseau bailiff) has been at Molyneux to give Wally a hand in constructing the steps in each swim which will make landing and returning fish a little easier for the anglers.

Several evenings Jack has been placing his rods out & his tally of fish is now 11 and counting!  On one evening he had 6 carp, all 20lb+ fish.  The fish are unbelievably active, really getting their heads down on the feed… and it’s only February!

This is a really promising start & with the fishery now under new management and the current feeding program, we believe that the fish will really do well in 2011.

At present we have an internet issue but all pictures of the improvments to the swims, including before and after pictures, along with all Jack’s fish will be posted very soon.  Watch this space.

Carp fishing in france at MolyneuxMolyneux – what a gorgeous lake!

Clearview carp tours would like to welcome Wally & Helen as the new Molyneux staff.

Wally has been a carp angler for 20 years fishing various venues across the U.K.  For the last 8 years he was a member of the well publicised Grenville Carp Syndicate in Cambridgeshire. Over time Wally became a major advantage to the syndicate, helping out around the complex and also to set up a very good website which was updated on a regular basis with catch reports, news and a very informative blog.

Helen, Wally’s wife also helped around the complex doing various jobs. Helen’s passion is gardening, her skills in this area were used to great success on Grenville as the swathes of bluebells & snowdrops around the complex will testify.  Although not an angler herself, Helen was a permanent partner to Wally on his fishing expeditions, being out in the countryside with a great love of watching the birds and other wildlife.

Another of Helen’s attributes is cooking, so for all you potential customers of Molyneux, you’re in for a culinary treat! Just you wait!!!

Wally & Helen have now been at Molyneux for a couple of weeks getting to know their surroundings and familiarising themselves with the complex.

An update from them will follow shortly.

Clearview Carp tours will be running fully inclusive trips to Malvoisine from September 2010.

Over to Roy Fulton, Clearview boss to explain the trips;

“The trips to Roseau have booked up really well this year… but unfortunately we have to vacate the lake in September because the shooting season begins.  So we’ve decided to run trips to the beautiful Malvoisine lake.  The fishing at Malvoisine is always reliable so you can get ready for plenty of fast & furious carp action.

The meeting point is at the Relyon car parks in Dover. Relyon has organised an account for us so you get discounted parking. Once all the cars are parked and tackle loaded, it’s off to Dover for the ferry. Onboard the ferry there will be plenty of time to look around, have a meal and take a look in the shops. continue reading…

Andy asks;

How would we travel to some of your fishing hoildays if we dont drive?

Hi Andy,

If you are on your own or a small group the first place to look at is the Roseau lakes on the all inclusive trips (max 8 persons). Great fishing at a great price, Roy picks you up from Dover and takes you to the lake, this includes a full English breakfast and evening meal, fishing for the week and return trip. The cost is £495 per person and at least one or more week in each month is allocated for this type of trip. Bait is available at the lake as well as the restaurant is open all day. Roseau is only 2 hours from the Calais ferry port so it won’t be long before you are settled in fishing.

You can also fly to the following venues Oakview, Alder & Notaires – all these owners will collect you from the closest airport and take you to the lake. They have tackle for hire when you get there you only need to take your end tackle and clothes etc. The other alternative is to hire Roy at Clearview with his driver, van and trailer (if required) to take your group to any of our lake fishing venues.

Do not hesitate to call for further info.

Regards Linda
