Morgane gets its final stocking of the year – another 12 carp, 4 commons and 8 mirrors, weights between 23lb and 31lb 12oz (the common)

The Bigots have just added another 4 large carp to Morganes including a magnificent 50lb mirror!

Here’s the weights;

*  1 x 50lb 4oz

*  1 x 41lb 7oz

*  1 x 40lb 9oz

*  1 x 38lb 9oz

Ruz & his 2 mates had a fantastic session on Morganes (w/c 27th August) taking;

*  4 x 40lb to 50lb

*  13 x 30lb to 40lb

*  55 x 20lb to 30lb

*  21 x 10lb-20lb

*  1 x 111lb cat

Alan, Phil, Chris & Richy fished Morganes w/c 16th July and had a stunning week!  Over to them;

” We had 2,340 lb of fish in the week!

Alan had over 1,000lb of cats out of cat lake including one at 118lb and a 114lb – prob the two biggest cats in the lake.  However, due to the drought in France at the moment the cat lake needed more water in it as only one person could fish it at anytime. The water level was at least 5 foot down from the bank.

On the carp lake each angler had approx 400lb of carp each;  Phil had a 35lb common, 42lb mirror and a PB at 45.2lb.  Chris also achieved a pb of 35.5 mirror and a 29lb grassy.  Ricky also had carp over 40lb.

We couldn’t have had a better weeks fishing!  Thanks once again to Lauron for his help.

All the fish in the carp lake were caught on CC Moores XXX Odyssey, 18mm single hook baits… no real freebies. We found out the owner feeds his fish on Betaine HNV pellets so a combo of HNV pellets and tripple X would prob work a treat. Two of us took over 20 kilo of bait and only used 2 kilo the whole week, all xxx.

My advice would be set up on left bank opposite caravan and fish across to tree line, although two of the biggest fish were poached out of the top left corner opposite the caravan, really close in.  Feed this area for a day or two before fishing it. Good luck!”
