It’s November 2012 and Watersmeet receives a boost to its stocks with 25 mid-20lb carp from the Bigot fish farm. This is sure to make this ever popular venue even more desirable.

After sitting in the baking sun all afternoon here at Watersmeet Mick was finally rewarded by a take right under the trees on the far bank. I was up at the house getting dinner ready when suddenly he was shouting over the walkie-talkie.
I ran down to swim 1 where after a great tussle we landed a 34lb Common which was in mint condition. Unfortunatley Mick’s arthritis is so bad now he did not have the strenth to pick the fish up, so we elected to take some photo’s while the fish was on the unhooking mat.

Grant, Jez & Shane have had an outstanding opening week at Watersmeet taking 3 x 40lb+ carp & a host of other 30′s.

We are over the moon with the start of the season we’ve had here at Watersmeet. Jez has had a 42lb’er out and Grant has just had a 33lb 5oz beauty. They have also had various other fish, photo’s will follow.
Fishing Holiday in France
Grant, Jez & Shane arrived at Watersmeet mid-morning today Friday 16th March for a few days of fishing & work prior to the start of the main season. After deciding to make setting up the rods their first priority Shane landed the first carp of the year after only having his rods out for 5 minutes…a beautiful 31lb 8oz Mirror, could be a busy few days for them!!
