Brief details of your catches: 25 fish between us up to 28lb, mostly 15lb+. Fish were mainly caught overnight as it was very hot during the day.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fruity boilies worked well, eg. Tutti Fruitti, peach & pineapple, the fish weren't interested in meaty flavours.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, very good.

General comments: The brochure and directions were spot on. Could do with putting some lily pads in the 2 bays.

Brief details of your catches: We found the 1st two days very difficult.. until we saw how a local angler was catching! Then we knew what to do...We then averaged 5 to 6 twenties each a day each. Plus plenty of mid doubles too. Biggest weighed 28lb. Over 500lb of carp caught in the last in 2 days of our 4 day trip. Runs day & night non-stop. All fish in perfect condition.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: 1st two days very difficult..til we sorted out the tactics.. The local angler was using Angling Lines Specials but we only had White chocolate with us.. we used the same tactics with these and it worked really well. We fished boilies with PVA bags of crushed boilies to all areas out into free open water on a bed of maize & hemp. Suddenly we were catching. Normal hair rigs with in line leads were used and worked well.

General comments: Only wish the owner could speak English! The facilities were great, fridge and deep freeze with a cooker too. Shower nice & warm too. Will be booking again for next year

Brief details of your catches: 1 Jack pike, 20 carp of different varieties but mainly mirrors. 9 bream. Best fishing lunch and early evening. We did not fish at night or dawn.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Followed the advise of previous visitors. Used maize.

General comments: Your brochure says tench and roach but we found no evidence of them - no small fish at all. We tried other baits but only caught on maize. Bernard was very kind and helpful. I hope his lake is a success.

Brief details of your catches: We caught 34 mirror carp, 1 grass carp and 3 bream. The biggest carp was 29lb 2oz. The average size was 15lb to 20lb.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: We used big beds of boilies, single maize hook baits and we caught lots of fish stalking.

General comments: The lake could benefit from a few 40's. However, we had a great week and found the owner and his family to be very helpful and friendly.
