Details: Netting at La Botte

News just in from the owners about the routine maintainance netting at La Botte.

The netting was carried out to remove small fish - they removed 1.5 tonnes of small carp (<5kg) and 700kg of bream.

Everything went very well and the water will certainly benefit from this - the large carp will have much more potential for growth with the reduction in competition for food.

This was never intended to be a complete netting operation so many of the carp escaped the nets... but see below for photos of some of the larger residents that turned up in the nets.

This netting was carried out by Pisciculture Horton run by well respected fish farmer, Simon Horton.
