What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Tight to the back margin. Shallow end of the lake paid off more for us. Used Rahja Spice and Special Crab.

Were the facilities what you expected? Absolutely fantastic. More than expected!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Definitely - as long as they didn’t get the time that we want to book next year!

General comments: Tracy & Lee have been great. We’ve felt like it’s home from home. Anything we needed we only had to ask. All the home comforts but completely relaxing having had the food package, the meals were brilliant, couldn’t get better if you tried to find a restaurant, and the lads have had a great first fishing experience in France!!

General comments: 5 STAR VENUE!!! Lee & Tracy are top hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Thanks for the advice Lee on my casting (Debbie). Week 2’s food is just as good as Week 1 – Great variety and superbly cooked! This really is the place to unwind and enjoy the peace & quiet; with excellent accommodation and food and lake to match.

General comments: The fishing was Brilliant! We enjoyed our Holiday very much, the fishing and the meals and the weather were all Excellent. Meals down by the lake – Brilliant! A must! General comments: Emails from Lee & Tracy very useful. Had breakfasts and sandwiches, all excellent, bank side breakfast was nice touch. The welcome pack came in very handy when first arriving & finding our feet. Lee & Tracy’s support through the week very supportive of our needs. This was a family holiday, 4 adults and 1 child, and yes we are all coming back!!

General comments: Lee and Tracy welcomed us on arrival, gave us lots of advice on baits and where to fish. The cottage is excellent, nice shower, a fridge/freezer for keeping food + bait cool. The lake itself is a pleasure to fish. Nice clean safe banks. Finally, we didn’t take the food package but we did take the evening meal on Thursday and Friday and the breakfast. It was extremely good. I would recommend Tracy’s cooking. We should have taken the meal package from Day 1.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Patience! Fish to margins (Gorse bank) using boilie baits and loose feed pellets (small amount). Small fish all caught on sweet corn and hookable pellets- great fun.

Were the facilities what you expected? Better than expected, plenty of room, clean, tidy and warm. Beds comfortable and shower great!

General comments: Tracy and Lee were perfect hosts. Lee was always there for guidance and advice on how to fish the lake- thanks Lee. Tracy you’re cooking is ace! The food was brilliant. General comments: Lee and Tracy were excellent hosts and have a venue they can be proud of. For those people who are looking for a top class venue, look no further as this is the best you can get. Food was excellent and was well prepared. The fishery booklet had good content and came to be very useful. The lake did not fish as good as it can do, mainly due to spawning and poor weather. Thanks Tracy and Lee, it has been a superb holiday (even though my scales were wrong!)

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fish for one fish at a time. Light scattering of boilies around each rod. The margins appear best. Don’t over complicate things; all fish came on mono hook links.

General comments: A brilliant week, fishing beyond wildest dreams for March. High average size and lots of fish still warming up! Nothing to much trouble for Lee and Tracy-top hosts. Accomodation 1st class. Thanks for having us.

Brief details of your catches: 5 Carp to 30lb 10oz, plus 1 Catfish at 36lbs 1oz and a couple of small Grassies to 8lb. Struggled as fish were spawning.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Basic tactics pellet + boillie in the margins.

General comments: Couldn’t ask for better hospitality the food was beautiful, and the lake is beautiful + peaceful.
