Details: Clearview to run Fully Inclusive trips to Malvoisine from September 2010
Clearview Carp Tours will be running fully inclusive trips to Malvoisine from September 2010.
Over to Roy Fulton, Clearview boss to explain the trips;
“The trips to Roseau have booked up really well this year… but unfortunately we have to vacate the lake in September because the shooting season begins. So we’ve decided to run trips to the beautiful Malvoisine lake. The fishing at Malvoisine is always reliable so you can get ready for plenty of fast & furious carp action.
The meeting point is at the Relyon car parks in Dover. Relyon has organised an account for us so you get discounted parking. Once all the cars are parked and tackle loaded, it’s off to Dover for the ferry. Onboard the ferry there will be plenty of time to look around, have a meal and take a look in the shops.
The ferry journey takes around 1½ hours and once in France it takes about 4 hours to drive to the lake… so it’s time to have a nap or just take in the scenery.
When we arrive at Malvoisine you can have a quick look around the lake & then it’s time for a cuppa and the draw for swims. If there are anglers who want to fish together in a double swim that’s not a problem. If you’ve pre-ordered bait that will be handed out and off you go to get set up.
Breakfast and evening meals are included – you can take them back to your swim or you can eat them in our dining area, whichever you prefer. Click here to see the example menu. There is a lunch and dessert menu, so if you fancy a snack, or just a Mars Bar, they’re always available to buy too.”

Details: HOT ACTION AT MALVOISINE
The 2009 catch reports from Malvoisine show that mid-summer and autumn sessions can be just as productive as early season fishing.
A HOT AUGUST WEEK-END
Patrice, a local carper, booked a peg for a hot weekend in August and is wasn’t just the weather that was sizzling. 24 runs in a couple of days is hot action whatever the weather. Patrice finished up with 15 carp averaging 21lb, including 3 x high 20’s and a nice 32 pounder. No gentle snoozing in the sun for you then Patrice !
A BUMPER CROP IN AUTUMN
The late summer saw near-drought conditions in France with many anglers reporting tough fishing conditions.
Despite the heat and lack of rain, October delivered it’s own bonanza for Stephane who banked 10 carp (208lb) averaging 20lb 8oz in 2 days. Stephane’s haul included a 33lb and a 35lb carp.
Tony and David were in hot pursuit with a haul of 225lb in a couple of sessions, including 7 x 20’s. The same weekend, another David was enjoying his own action, banking 16 fish.
All fish were caught on bait available at Malvoisine.
With fishing like this in ‘slow’ conditions roll on the spring !

Details: Malvoisine Netting & Additional Stocking Planned
The owners of the very attractive venue of ‘La Malvoisine’ has been in contact with top French fish farmer Michel Bigot in order to organise the netting and additional stocking of the lake this winter.
This very prolific lake has a huge head of carp and the netting is planned to remove the smaller ones, bream etc. Plans were originally laid to drain the lake, but unfortunately it looks as if the local authorities have refused permission for it to be undertaken this year.
However, never fear!! I spoke to Mr Bigot today and he assures me that it is quite feasible to net the lake and thus remove a large number of the nuisance species and at the same time to do a stock take of the current carp population.
It is worth noting here that the owners have already stocked as many as 200 carp to over 30lb into this 17 acre lake.
Further plans are underway to stock a few more large specimens to over 40lb. Mr Bigot has been netting several of his stock lakes recently and has a good number of young stock fish to add to venues.
We'll keep you informed on the developments and you can be sure we'll be present with our camera to record the news on video as it happens.
Regards, Gareth.
