LATEST NEWS... Strange week !

Etang du Moulin consists of two beautiful lakes, a bar and a restaurant set in 15 acres of the Basse Normandie National Park, near Ger. The venue is surrounded by mature pine forests and is very secluded and quiet. It’s within easy reach of the ferry ports and is ideally situated for visiting the WW2 invasion beaches, the Mont St. Michel or the lovely rolling Normandy countryside famous for its cheeses, ciders and calvados.

Show me a short video from this venue.

The Carp Lake:
The Carp Lake is around an acre in size and set in a secluded and quiet part of the venue. It’s stocked with both mirrors and commons, the current record standing at just over 41lb. Whilst the average size would be from mid doubles to mid twenties there is a good head of 30’s. Average depth is around 1m with some deeper areas at the far end. The lake bed is firm and the banks are surrounded by reeds, brambles and trees. The Carp Lake has two excellent quality mobile homes sat right at the water’s edge.

The Large Lake: This lake is around 5 acres and contains a large head of trout as well as mixed coarse fish, including bream to 14lb, tench, roach, perch, chub and dace. However, there’s also large carp to over 40lb, many of which are original stock fish. The trout fishing is run on a day permit basis, but anglers fishing the Carp Lake are welcome to try to tempt one of the Trout Lake specimen carp. Night fishing this lake is also allowed.

As mentioned above the Carp Lake offers two very well appointed mobile homes on the bankside, both sleeping 6... so easily accommodating family holidays. Each home is fully equipped with toilet, shower, kitchen and living room. Linen can be provided at a small extra cost – enquire for details. Both homes are in top condition and very comfortable. In front of each one is a wooden table and parasol set, so meals can be taken right at the lakeside during fine weather.

A food package is available here - price £100.

If you book the food package you will be asked to pay a 10% deposit to Angling Lines and the balance to the lake when you arrive. Please note that due to fluctuations in the exchange rate the balance you pay when you arrive may not equate exactly to the remaining 90% in £’s sterling – it may be slightly more or less due to a change in the exchange rate.

Meals are served in the excellent on-site bar and restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch and evening meals, as well as a selection of drinks including English beers, wines, spirits, tea and coffee. It’s sited next to the Large Lake and your meals can be enjoyed with a fine view across the water.

Food ranges from light snacks to steak & chips, salad or vegetables, followed by cheese and dessert. Or if you fancy something different why not catch a trout and have the owner cook it for you!

You can also buy take-out beer (in packs) from the bar & they also sell the basics like tea, milk & sugar.
