Brief details of your catches: Between us we caught approximately 70 carp from the big lake and 10 from the small lake.  We caught 7 x 20's (one repeat capture) - the largest from the big lake a 26lb mirror and from the small lake a 21lb 8oz common.  The majority of fish were in the 12 to 14lb bracket with the odd low double & single figure fish.  The fish on the big lake fought very well and the majority were caught from swims 1 to 5.

Brief details of your catches:  The Method or trout pellet filled PVA bag accounted for the vast majority of our captures.  Single bottom baits with size 6 or 4 hooks.  We caught at all ranges from the margins to just short of mid way.

Were the facilities what you expected?  Better - we were very impressed with the facilities.  The cafe, which looks so unassuming, was great, the food & hospitality excellent. We had breakfast at 10am and a meal at 5pm and this was sufficient to keep us going, the portions were so generous.  As for value - £2 for breakfast & £3.80 for an evening meal - what more can be said!.  The loo was also very clean.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?  Yes.  However, this venue is not for the serious specimen hunter who wants to fish for 30lb+ fish.  It is, as the promotional information says, for those who want to see the indicators fly!

Would you recommend our services to a friend ?  Yes

General comments:  We had a great time!  Allow 2.5 hours drive from Calais.  On route Cambrai can be a bit tricky to negotiate, we suggest you follow the "Autres Directions" signs.

Just a line to let you know we (me and Gary - my son) had a brilliant time at Le Roseau last week. Christophe and his wife were really friendly (especially the food service to your bivvy). We both had PB - mine 25lb 2oz and Gary had a 20lb 12oz mirror from the big lake with a total of 64 fish for 660lb. The runs lasted all day every day and are really exciting when you hit the first one. I will be booking again for next year as soon as you have the prices.

Brief details of your catches: 25lb mirror, 19lb and 18lb  Mirror, 14lb 13lb and 10lb mirror. 15lb grass carp.  Lots of smaller fish Tench, Perch Rudd and Roach 

What did you find were the best tactics/baits:  Boilies fish flavour

General comments:  When we arrived the setup was good, hot water for showering, hot food and cold beer!
