No. of persons fishing: 5 Brief details of your catches: Bumper week - 130 carp between the 5 of us plus 7 sturgeon. 77 twenties, 12 thirties biggest 37lb. Fish showing all over the lake. Everyone on the lake caught but we had the most carp. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Boillies worked well, straightforward in- line leads & hook lengths.

General comments: Fishing was good, being the last week of the season it was running down but Christophe was fine as always. Breakfast the first day was cold but afterwards was superb.

General comments: This was our second trip - we caught more fish last year, but the average size was bigger this year. But in fairness the weather was atrocious - 3 foot waves with crests on them!

Only one single figure fish! What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Baitboat. Boilie or Tiger above hemp. Devastating method.

General comments: We knew what to expect but this fishing blew us away!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: All tactic/bait combines worked. My most productive tactic/bait was the method fished with halibut pellet. Bigger fish fell to special crab fished over bed of particles and pellets.

General comments: The general area around the lake and banks lacked a bit of maintenance. Difficult I know when venue is busy.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes - this is my 8th visit!! Were you happy with them? Yes, but I prefered it before the trees were cut back.

General comments: We get on very well with Christophe. I started coming here when A&J ran all inclusive trips here. Fantastic fishing and the fish are getting bigger every year

General comments: This is the 3rd time we've been to Roseau so we knew what to expect. But the weather was diabolical & we pulled off early. No ones fault - just one of those things.

No. of persons fishing: 2 Brief details of your catches: 13 x 30lbs plus ;-) biggest 36.08lb (caught by Wayne), included 2 x 35lb.Caught 1st fish after 10 mins at 30lb then within the same hour I banked my second fish at 35lb. We absolutely lost count of how many we caught and stopped taking photo's of anything under 25lb! I reckon we had 100 carp between us, fantastic!!! What did you find were the best tactics/baits: We were catching with 23ml boilies with an 18ml bait on top. The 35lber was caught on 3 tiger nuts! They liked large pellet shapes as well we also caught on huge halibut pellets.

General comments: Really had a fantastic week, Christophe was great as well...and despite what I had heard he speaks very good English. The directions were superb only got lost in England on the M6. photo's to follow by post.

General comments: Missed the draw (our paper indicated 11.00am). The draw took place at 10.00am. The bait boat I reserved was not there. The banks are a bit steep in places which makes landing fish on your own a bit difficult. Try to arrive in time for the draw so that your party can fish together. If you get the fish into your area, the fishing can be hectic.

General comments: Food was excellent,company great,facilities perfectly adequate. To the moaners... what do you expect 'The Ritz' ...you are carp fishing guys! All together my party caught over 250 carp to 44.8lb, all had PBs. Total weight 5000lb (BRILL) Comment from Angling Lines.....Absoulutely fantastic fishing Chris! Well done! Roseau Large at its best.... it has to be one of the most prolific runs waters in France. If its action you're after look no further!

No. of persons fishing: 3 Brief details of your catches: We fished pegs 11, 12, 13, We had over 720lb of fish with an average weight of 23lb, all of us beat our pb’s, the other two guys on my group had never been carp fishing before with one of them a total newcomer to fishing as a whole. We had a 22lb mirror along with four other fish, the other chap had a 33lb 10oz mirror along with five other fish and I had a 38lb 8oz mirror along with 27 other fish. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Maple 8 and Source with pva bags to the bar in the day and fishing the margin with one rod at night and light spodding every two hours.

General comments: The lake was not fishing at its best and the fishing was patchy in the day. The most productive time was between 10pm - 4am as it was very hot in the day time. On a good week you could get well over a ton if fished right. Some of the fish had badly damaged mouths and the lake could be better managed. That said we had a great week with plenty of fish. Angling Lines are a great company and we will look at booking with them again in the future.

Average size for us was mid doubles but the guys the other side of the lake seemed to be getting bigger fish. Our biggest was 27lb (plus a 29lb sturgeon) and we had about another 10 x 20's What did you find were the best tactics/baits: We fished pegs 2,3,4 & 5 but we think the other side of the lake fishes better.

WE had very good days (13 fish monday) & some days were we only caught one or two. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Baitboat. Baited with chick pea. also used feeder. Basically all techniques work when the fish are in your swim.

Had 13 carp and 2 sturgeon, biggest carp being 28lb mirror caught bt Ian fisher,stugeon 20lb 4oz.Also 2 grass carp at 21lb 2oz and 19lb 10oz. Fishing very hard due to very hot wheather and fish spawning(pud pud) What did you find were the best tactics/baits: BAIT BOAT is a must at this venue.Tiger nuts and halibut pellets did the trick for most fish.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fishing was very hard due to weather getting much hotter. But snowman baits presented at range. Also used pellets as loose feed, larger baits to avoid bream. Two carp taken on dog biscuits off top.

General comments: After original problems with bait and draw taking place before we arrived at 10.20am, fishing was slow and fish came in bursts. The food was very good from venue and generally a good time was had.

General comments: Our third trip to Roseau. Still language barrier with Christophe. Facilities OK and acceptable. This year we experienced the changes made to the lake shape. This has certainly made a vast difference to fishing tactics!! A BAIT BOAT IS CRITICAL to successful catches. We were the only pair without a boat and sat for a whole week watching all the others catch regularly. We attempted to hire Christophe's bait boat because it was obvious after 2 days that without one our catches would be minimal. Unfortunately the boats batteries had seen better days and only lasted about 10 minutes each. So no bait boat after just 1 day.

General comments: I've read on this site that the owner Christophe can be awkward.... nothing could be further from the truth. He's a great bloke. My sons baitboat packed up - he went & fetched the spare part & even fixed it for us. What more could you ask for? We had a brilliant time & thoroughly recommend it.

General comments: The weather was appaling - continual rain. This made the fishing difficult & the swims very muddy & they could do with improving for bad weather conditions.

Every angler on the lake came away with at least 1 x thirty! What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Pva bags, pellets and snowman rigs to the middle of the lake on the bar. Heavy spodding produced constant fish all week.

General comments: Been going to France now for seven years and started with Angling Lines venues last year, wouldn't consider using anyone else now. Great service! Roseau banks were really muddy - could do with some more gravel, but water levels were great and the food was fantastic as well!

No. of persons fishing: 1 Brief details of your catches: 12 carp overall. 10 mirror carp 17lb to 36lb 5oz - PB. 2 common carp 22lb and 26lb 7oz PB. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Basic bottom safety rigs. Home made plum/squid and tiger nuts over bed of hemp/pellets.

No. of persons fishing: 2 Brief details of your catches: 85 carp in total. Biggest 38.5lb mirror. 60 x over 20lb. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Heavy baiting with lots of groundbait, pellets and boilies. Used maple 8 and Quest Baits Special Crab, both were excellent.

General comments: We know of at least 25 x 30lb+ fish which were caught during out stay. If you want lots of runs then this is the place to visit. Excellent food - recommend the food package.

No. of persons fishing: 2 Brief details of your catches: Total carp for week was 71. The large lake was fantastic and some of the fish were stunning. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Sweetcorn, Quest Baits Special Crab (sold on-site), halibut pellets.
