What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Boilie, anything else caught bream.

Were the facilities what you expected? Worse

Were you happy with them? No. Lunch not available & bar not available. Christophe has bought a local restaurant & so is never at the fishing venue, he doesn't even keep to the hours on the bar that he advertises.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? No

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Have used you every year since 2003 & now thinking of using alternative as Gareth was rude & unhelpful when we phoned from France.

General comments: The bar & restaurant is not a bar or restaurant, it is dirty & does not provide good food - unless you are happy with a piece of meat & some chips. Christophe is still a nice chap but clearly has his priorities on the restaurant, he simply is not there. We also had lots of people walking around the lake that we hired privately at all times of night & even had strange people approach after midnight. The venue is completely different from Sept 2007, fishing is good but should really be advertised differently. The bar does not exist except for about 1 hour a day when Christophe decides. Completely ruined our holiday. No restaurant at lunch time either. Due to the above & Christophe going on holiday for Thursday & Friday of our week & that it was a bank holiday in France & everything being shut, we had only food from a can most days. Won't be back & that makes me sad as I have had great holidays there over the years!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fishmeal and pineapple and strawberry boilies all with fruitella high vis 10mm pop up counter balancing. Bait boat definitely worth hiring.

General comments: Fishing hard at first but with bait boat and above tactics the fishing was excellent.

General comments: WE ARRIVED IN THE RAIN AND MUD .SO COULD.NT BIVVY UP WERE WE WANTED .WICH MADE THINGS A BIT TUFF .THE SUN ENDED UP COMING OUT AND EVERY THINK SEEMED MORE PLESANT .THE FISHING WAS HARDER THAN THE YEAR BEFORE ,BUT THATS FISHING .HAD A GRAT TIME AND MET SOME GREAT PEOPLE (DAVE AN ZOE. Brief details of your catches: Very slow fishing at beginning of the week. We got 36 fish in total, including a 44lb 6oz carp.

General comments: We all achived our PBs. which was what we all wanted. Fishing was good The food package was a bit disappointing.

Brief details of your catches: I had 9 fish in total 7 of which were carp biggest was a 37lb mirror and a further 3 x 30 pounders and and to high twentys and to sturgeon to 15lb.Andy had 13 fish in total biggest was 37lb 11oz mirror a mixture of carp vary in sizes 2x cat fish to 35lb and a sturgeon.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: we used all sort didnt seem to matter but most fish fell to 18m maple boillies

General comments: the bar was only open for two hours a day.christophe don't speak good english so getting any info was a struggle.I will say the food package isn't to great a bit hit and miss. we was pretty hungry most of the time.If you are fusy eater use the supermarket a mile down the road.The new shower blocks are great.Nice and clean and refreshing.The carp had spawned the week before we got there so we done well considering. The weather was scorching in the day so no runs in the day only runs at night and early morn.So a cold beer would've been nice in the day.Not alot of sleep but you sleep when you dead.

Brief details of your catches: Caught a huge amount of fish, i had 120 carp up to 39.12. The fishing is awesome and 2nd to none.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Strawberry boilies, and plastic pop up corn.used lots of spod mix and pellet, vitalin base flavoured with tuna in sunflower oil. Topped up 3 times a day. The fish came continuously.

Were the facilities what you expected? Lake owner seems to have lost interest in the place

Were you happy with them? The bins were not emptied and the bar was closed most of the time

General comments: The food package was not good, as it was bought from the restaurant not prepared on site, so was cold when it came to us. If you like chips you will be ok. The lake and venue need a tidy and attention. It's a real shame as the fishing is fantastic.

General comments: If it had have been decent weather conditions it would have been a fantastic venue. The weather put a downer on things. The first few days were hot but then came the rain. Which turned to lots of mud. The cabin wasn't open for very long. In better weather and with a general tidy this would be a a lovely lake

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Tried a bit of everything. Particles, different boilies. Fish seemed to prefer light boilies. Caught a few on Quest crab with a toffee pop up

General comments: Facilities were good, showers were clean, they were cleaned several times during the week, as the conditions were muddy due to heavy rain. Rained for three days and then had hard frost for two. Other than the weather had a great time

General comments: Weather was bad, very wet, muddy conditions. Owner didn't speak much english.

General comments: Got swamped out due to bad weather, but the young lads carried on fishing happily. This venue would be great in the summer. Owners did not speak much english. Boys had a good time regardless
