The Etang La Sauvelliere is a 3.5 acre lake set in the Mayenne countryside, less than 100 miles from the Normandy ferry port of Caen .  The venue is extremely private set in its own fenced grounds in a tranquil and peaceful area of Normandy .  

The lake can accommodate a maximum of four anglers and the on-site accommodation has room for four also. The venue is owned by an English couple, David and Chris Ayress.

The video clip here was shot in May during a brief session with my son William. Using Quest Baits Special Crab and Rahja Spice he was fortunate enough to land a brace of thirty pound fish, the largest topping the scales at 35lb. We managed 9 carp in our three day session, all in pristine condition.

The total for the 3 days was:  35lb; 26lb 8oz, 22lb, 18lb 8oz, 18lb, 22lb 31lb 8oz; 22lb 8oz and 24lb.

This lake really is like having your own carp pool in your garden - it's immediately inviting the moment you pass through the entrance gate!  The lawns are beautifully kept with trees and bankside vegetation adding to the beauty.
