Runs waters tend not to have a concentration of 40\u2019s and 50\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>We have around 35 venues but I\u2019d still genuinely only class around 4 of them as runs waters.\u00a0 The others offer great fishing but a runs water to me is where you don\u2019t have to try hard, great for novices. and consistent over mostoft weeks of the year.\u00a0The vast majority of our venues fish well, and \u00a0naturally if the angler has a some degree of skill it helps,\u00a0but there are several that are out and out hard waters where a few runs in the week would be an excellent result. There are so many factors that affect fishing in France just the same as fishing over here, from the weather, water temperature, moon phases to just how much bait the angler in the swim before you has &#8216;dumped&#8217; when leaving!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_20420\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20420\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20420\" alt=\"Carp Fishing in France with accommodation at Vincons\" src=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2009\/10\/sticky.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2009\/10\/sticky.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2009\/10\/sticky-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/2009\/10\/sticky-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-20420\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/venue\/vincons\" class=\"kblinker\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"More about Vincons &raquo;\">Vincons<\/a><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Here are several I can immediately think of but there are others&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Commons lake &#8211; Carp to over 50lbs and a good average stamp.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Margot \u2013 Big fish water and carp to over 70lbs \u2013 fishes well but not an out and out runs water.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/venue\/vincons\" class=\"kblinker\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"More about Vincon &raquo;\">Vincons<\/a> \u2013 great runs water but carp only up to 40 with the majority being mid to high twenties<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/venue\/old-oaks\" class=\"kblinker\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"More about Old Oaks &raquo;\">Old Oaks<\/a> &#8211; great 30\u2019s water normally for 5 anglers only though<\/p>\n<p>The way to judge it is to look at the feedback each week for the lake. Bear in mind anglers go of all standards but remember, whatever water you go to, \u00a0it\u2019s not what is claimed is in there&#8230; it\u2019s what comes out\u00a0<strong>that counts!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through our feedback system you can clearly see what people think good or bad. Some lakes stock big carp but if\u00a0a fish dies even the owner may not know. The &#8216;oh it\u2019s just not been caught yet!\u00a0&#8216; Is usually a fish of a \u2018 red herring\u2019 variety. I can honestly say we review our venues based on what comes out and proof of what went in.<\/p>\n<p>I would be happy to run through a few criteria for you and see what venues fit closely to your requirement &#8211; so please feel free to call me if you wish.
