This could save your life!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">We have recently compiled a list of best advice if you unfortunately need the Emergency Services whilst you are out in France. \u00a0This advice sheet has been sent out to all our lake owners &amp; should be displayed in a prominent position at the venue&#8230; it will also be sent out to everyone who books one of our venues. \u00a0However, we felt it would also be a good idea to reproduce it here on the Blog too;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong> WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED THE HELP OF THE EMERGENCY SERVICES WHILST YOU ARE IN FRANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have an emergency in France and there are no locals around to help, you can call;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>112<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><br \/>\n<em>(IMPORTANT \u2013 see NOTE 2 at bottom of this sheet)<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This works from anywhere in France (in fact it works anywhere in Europe) from either a land line or mobile.\u00a0 This applies to all types of emergency.<\/p>\n<p>You will be answered in French and sometimes they may have someone who can speak English, even if it&#8217;s only a little.\u00a0 The information they will require is;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The name of the lake (or the name      of the owner and the house name if the lake owner lives on site).\u00a0 Please remember that the name the lake      is known by in the Angling Lines brochure is not necessarily its actual      French name.\u00a0 That\u2019s why you need to      give as much of the following detail as possible;<\/li>\n<li>The name of the nearest      village.\u00a0 If, for example, you know the name of the two closest      villages, then quote both.<\/li>\n<li>The name, or number,\u00a0of the      nearest main road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>NOTE1; <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can use the driving directions you were sent by Angling Lines to help with this.\u00a0 You could even give the Sat Nav co-ordinates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GOOD ADVICE;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because the detail you give may not be as accurate as that which would be given by a native French speaker it\u2019s a really good idea for someone who is waiting for an ambulance, for example, to ask one of the other anglers to position themselves at the lake entrance or main road to wait for its arrival.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>NOTE 2;<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>We have been told that the 112 number does not work on mobiles that don&#8217;t have a Sim card.\u00a0 So, for people who have a mobile without a Sim card, they should call;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>17 for the Police<\/li>\n<li>18 for the Fire Service (who can      also deal with health emergencies)<\/li>\n<li>15 for a Health Emergency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have recently compiled a list of best advice if you unfortunately need the Emergency Services whilst you are out in France. \u00a0This advice sheet has been sent out to all our lake owners &amp; should be displayed in a prominent position at the venue&#8230; it will also be sent out to everyone who books [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[190],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4812","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-general-interest"],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4812","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4812"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4812\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4812"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=4812"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=4812"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
