autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is Part 3 \u00a0| \u00a0<a title=\"Carp session in France\" href=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/preparing-for-the-2012-carp-session-on-blue-lake\/\">Part 1 is here<\/a> | \u00a0<a title=\"Carp fishing\" href=\"https:\/\/www.anglinglines.com\/blog\/how-much-bait-will-i-need-for-my-french-carp-session-2\/\">Part 2 is here<\/a> |<\/p>\n<p>I know the list seems endless, but if you start organising things early it should all fall into place ready for your day of departure.\u00a0 Make your list as early as possible and tick it off as you go.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the lists I use;<\/p>\n<p><strong>LIST 1 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a list of items that you need either for <strong>legal reasons <\/strong>or for piece of mind in case a problem occurs;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documents<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Angling Lines confirmation letter with ferry details<\/li>\n<li>Set of the lake rules<\/li>\n<li>Directions to the lake plus satellite navigation coordinate<\/li>\n<li>Travel insurance<\/li>\n<li>European Health Insurance Card\/E11 card (application form available free from your local post office) Get this in plenty of time as you do have to apply for it and it may take a few weeks to come through.<\/li>\n<li>Euros, or debit card, or both<!--more--><\/li>\n<li>Passport \u00a0(&amp; fire extinguisher<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Warning triangle &amp; \u00a0fire extinguisher (both available from Halfords)<\/li>\n<li>First aid kit<\/li>\n<li>Spare bulbs<\/li>\n<li>Fluorescent waistcoat &#8211; one of these is required for the driver and one for each passenger in the vehicle. pic10<\/li>\n<li>Alcohol breathalyser test kit (new for this year).\u00a0 <strong>From July 1st 2012 it is compulsory to carry a breathalyser kit in the car.<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n This breathalyser costs \u00a324 from Halfords\n<p><strong> <\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong> <\/strong>All the above must be easy accessible in case of an emergency<\/li>\n<li>Headlight deflectors<\/li>\n<li>GB sticker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to take a satellite navigation unit and a French map, along with a sat nav co-ordinates and something like the AA route finder directions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medical Requirements and cosmetics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now if you are like me, you may need a small amount of medication to get by each day so it is important that you have sufficient medicines available to last you for your stay in France. A visit to the doctor or phone call for those additional supplies is important well in time before your departure.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of other items that you may want to consider;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sun cream, preferably factor 20+<\/li>\n<li>Mosquito repellent<\/li>\n<li>Anti histamines ( these are useful not only for allergies but also if you get stung, by mosquito\u2019s, wasps, ants, bees, etc<\/li>\n<li>Pain killers.<\/li>\n<li>Tooth paste tooth brush<\/li>\n<li>Shaver<\/li>\n<li>Aftershave<\/li>\n<li>Anti-perspirant<\/li>\n<li>Plasters and Antiseptic cream<\/li>\n<li>Phone charger<\/li>\n<li>Pad and pen to record weights<\/li>\n<li>Bin liners for rubbish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That is my list done.
