About the Lake
Laroussi is a really mature, natural looking lake of around 15 acres. There are many interesting features including plateaus, overhanging trees, lily pads, shallows and gullies up to 5m deep. The average depth is around 3m, with a gravel, sand and clay bottom and there are no crayfish or poisson-chat present. Weed is controlled each year and does not cause an issue.
There are 7 swims (some doubles) for a maximum of 8 anglers when the lake is booked exclusively for your group and 7 anglers when booked non-exclusive. All the swims are easily accessible and comfortable, all but one provides plenty of shade during the hot summer months.
The lake is fenced and tree lined making it totally private - it has been left as natural as possible giving a real feel of seclusion.
PLEASE NOTE; If you'd like to use a bait boat then you need to book on to a bait-boat week. We reserve some weeks as baitboat free on Laroussi. You will be able to see if the week you are interested in allows bait boats when you get a quote online.
Campervans
Normal vehicles must be parked in the car park once you have unloaded. The exception to this is if you are bringing a campervan to sleep in (maximum 2.5m high, 6m long), whereby you would be able to leave your van at the swim for the week.
It is possible to park a campervan at all swims except Le Bouleau. Please note that at L'Anse swim, the campervan parking spot will be approximately 10 metres away from your rods.
For the safety and comfort of other anglers, campervans must remain parked at your designated swim for the duration of your stay, unless you are leaving the lake (e.g. to visit the supermarket). Driving around the lake to and from the facilities is not permitted.
