Overview
Golden Carp Lake is a 12 acre lake located in the Dordogne, south-west France, surrounded by 20 acres of unspoilt woodland.
This is a big carp destination for experienced anglers looking for a venue for themselves but equally ideal for bringing family and friends along by opting for the cabin accommodation (sleeping four and with its own pool).
There's an extensive stock of 40lb+ carp to over 70lb and a seriously well equipped angler's lodge which sits close enough to all three double swims and the single swim to be able to socialise whilst having your rods out.
Around a 5hr 30 drive from the ports of Caen and St Malo, the lake's proximity to Brantôme, the “Venice of the Dordogne”, as well as the big cities of Perigueux and Angouleme, ensure that families and guests have plenty to keep themselves entertained. Spend time sunbathing, swimming and unwinding, or enjoying a relaxed meal and a glass of wine in one of the many nearby restaurants, bars and cafés.
Whether in a group, as a pair, or with a family looking for a getaway whilst you chase the catch of a lifetime, this is the place you’ve been looking for…
When booking this venue you can choose from three options:
1. The lake exclusive for up to 7 anglers, with or without the lakeside cabin accommodation option
2. The lakeside cabin accommodation and swim 1 together - this is for up to 2 anglers and 2 non anglers. You can fish from directly outside the accommodation or utilise swim one which is slightly further down the bank. This effectively gives you your own ‘end’ of the lake.
3. Book swims 2, 3 and 4 together - this is for up to 5 anglers. These double swims are located next to the angler’s lodge and facilities, effectively giving you 'half' of the lake.
