4th May to 11th May 2013
6 anglers
Details of your catches:
1500lbs of carp in the week. Biggest 53.08 Cats to 33.08 . The smallest carp was a beautiful 14lbs Koi. The other lads haul included a 45lber and a 42lber as well. Plenty of 30's.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
I used only 1/2 kilo of boilies in the week as I only used them as hook baits over some pellet. I had 14 carp biggest 53.08 fishing to the treeline in the bay opposite the facilities on the other side of the spit which was still underwater. I used Rajah spice boilies from Quest baits. I had the most carp but others also did well and some used cell and bait boats.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes
Were you happy with them?
Yes, loved it

Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, definitely. spot on.
General Comments:
A really pretty little lake, really pleased with the whole thing and not far from the port. Electrics went once but we found the reset button on the back of the portacabin and it all came right.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
all baits worked white boilies and red seemed to be the best, carp were about to spawn so we had to hunt them down rather than them come to us, by friday they were in the shallows and had signs of spawning

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Pellet and Cell boilie for the carp 22mm Pellet for the catfish with about 30-40 loose.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, quite a steep step out of the shower, which can be a problem if the floor is wet. Electricity trips if you use the cooker hob with other things plugged in (overload).
Were you happy with them?
Adequate for 6 anglers, freezer space would be an issue for more anglers if wishing to freeze food and boilies.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, however would suggest going when lake water levels are lower. The lake was still about 4ft over-depth by the time we left. It went down 2ft during our week. Was nice to fish a venue and not see a single rat!!!
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, was even visited at the venue by Bridget to see how we was getting on. Angling Lines was a great help as we had to change many details at short notice due to change in anglers and vehicles, this was done smoothly without problems.
General Comments:
An enjoyable weeks fishing, not easy due to the recent weather conditions and high water levels. Facilities could do with a deep clean now and then, but are adequate and do the job of drive and survive. The owner speaks only French, but is nice and pleasant, the daughter speaks English so translation is not a problem. The owner provides some drinking water, but taking some of your own is an advantage.

22 carp to 42lb 3 grass carp to 35lb 2 cats to 56lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
small patches of bait as fish where still very dorment, small particles seemed to provide most fish, although we where plagued by bream early part of the week!!
Were the facilities what you expected?

Were you happy with them?
Very Happy

Yes
Would you recommend the services to a friend?

General Comments:
The owner is very helpful, The lake was 3m over depth and the water is still very cold, so we think the fish where still a little sleepy!!! therefore not really wanting huge beds of bait.
