General Comments:

fishing was hard but the fish that came out were in perfect condition and some good weights . most fish came at night , none of us had runs during the 10.am -7.00pm. the spit wasnt fishable due to water levels but this posed no problem. most of the big fish came from deep water but fish were caught in margins and mid water. we arrived a little early to greet the previous anglers who had already packed up and were leaving so not sure about the comments about us walking around while that were packing away . I would defo go back to this venue lake owner is very helpfull . WATCH OUT FOR THE FOX HE LIKES FOOTWEAR LOL AND WILL COME IN YOUR BIVVY!! Any advice heres my email [email protected]

12 fish on this trip my two sons did not catch this year so was dissapointed for them biggest 45lb smallest 18lb last years trip we had 26 fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

the facilities have improved from last year an extra cabin and the little cooker and sink has been taken out and is not in the same room as the toilet and shower much better.

Were you happy with them?

they are much more suited now if the lake is not been booked inclusive by a group the shower or toilet can be used without someone being unable to cook .

General Comments:

while packing up next group arrived @ 9.30 a bit annoying when there not supposed to turn up for 12.00 they start walking round the venue on our time to pack away.

Details of your catches:

3 blanked, 38lb and 34lb fish on single bait, Paul had 6 fish, smallest 26lb up to 32lb and bream. Weather was very hot during the day but bitter cold in the night.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tried all sorts to start with to find the fish, fished started to show in channel between spit and far bank so I started on zig rigs mid water depth about 14' the fish started to come on green foam in shape of maggot. 4 of us fished to the right of the spit the 38lb came out in the shallower water on the right near bushes.

Yes, plenty of room for all anglers.

Yes, great owners, daughter very helpful.

Yes, enjoyed being on the lake very nice.

General Comments:

Very helpful, got stuck in mud and owners got us out. Had a thoroughly enjoyable time, learnt a lot using different tac tic's. The spit was covered over most of the week and just cleared last day.

34lb6oz 41lb,10oz 27lb,4oz 24lb 3lb koi and 4 bream. Lost another 3 carp due to snags.

Fishing in shallows on the river side of the lake in between the two islands baited up the area with boillies and partical most takes were through the night.cell and scopex

they were spot on a new cabin has been put on the lake were you can meet and eat and has power point.
