About the Lake
A beautiful lake of around 13 acres where the dam end has the deeper water, although overall the venue is relatively shallow at around 1.2m (particularly so in the hotter summer months).
There are few snags and the lake bottom is silty and fairly even.
A good gravel track down to each swim makes access easy and your vehicle (including larger vehicles such as a campervan) can be parked in the shade behind you. This is approximately 10-15m from your swim platform to your vehicle.
The lake has a slight bend in the margins and there are plenty of features to fish to including reeds, lilies and overhanging trees. Boats and bait boats are allowed & could be a real advantage here if you can bring your own. There are just the two large double swims, so a group of 4 will need to double up on each swim, but at over 3 acres of water per angler there is plenty of scope.
There are no reported issues with weed and no poisson chat. Whilst there are a few crayfish, these do not seem to cause anglers any problems.
Please note there is no resident bailiff at this lake. Bailiff Mark will visit the lake on your Saturday of arrival and usually once more during the week, however he is only a phone call away at any time during your stay - if you require advice or help with anything you are welcome to get in touch with him.
