It was a struggle of a week with only 2 anglers catching carp. Pegs 5 and 4 the 3 other swims onlly produced Cats. Biggest captures were a 99lb cat to Mark. 84lb cat caught twice by myself and Sam Carp to 35lb with peg 5 having 9 carp and peg 4 2 carp.

Boiles over particle with pellet close to far bank.

Facilities were as expected. Shower was spot on and ran a long time roughly 5 mins

Slightly disappointed with how the lake fixed as only 2 swims produced carp the week we were there, but all swims produced very hard fighting Cats

General Comments:

Lovely place to fish but tackle up with strong gear , the catfish fight really hard

60 fish between 5 Lots of grass carp Biggest carp 55lb common Followed by 43lb leather Biggest grass carp 39lb Biggest cat 86.5lb Bigger fish tending to fall to swims 1-6, with more common/leather carp coming out of swims 7-10. Overall 1767lb of fish between us as a group.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Far margin with bait boat, stick to 3 spots and bait at 19:00-ish. Out of the 70-80 bites we had, 95% of them were from the hours between 20:00 and 05:00. Very slow during the days but was not uncommon for double takes at night. Boilie/wafters/tiger nuts over a bed of particle mix with some freebies worked well.

Yes, basic drive and survive, 2 showers and a toilet, bailiffs supply plenty of tokens when needed. Standing Toilet also located behind swim 7/8. Can also charge your appliances in lockers (bring padlock)

Yes, everything you need and bailiffs check facilities daily

100%, great venue with wonderful hosts, leave you to it but check in on you every other day for a brief chat

100% will be back again in the future, one of the only lakes we have gone back to multiple times.

General Comments:

fantastic lake with very welcoming owners, lots of runs predominately at night however. Stick to your spots and bait generously to far margin and you will catch!
