News from Deux Iles lake

★★★ Deux îles report to 16th Jun ★★★, 16th Jun
A catch report from Marcus Davies, Robert Noad, Paul Butler and Ryan Young :
This is our first visit to Deux Iles or indeed France Carp fishing.
We had a exclusive booking of the lake, the weather was glorious and the lake was beautiful, we had to change our approach due to crayfish but decided to use plastic baits we had 28 fish up to 41.5lb.
Thank you Bruno Simond.

A catch report from Nathan & Alan Puxty :
Just completed a weeks session on Cabin 1. Following some advice from Bruno we cast up close to various features on the opposite bank (Within 6 Ft) and the runs soon followed. Two low doubles on the first day, 7 fish on the Sunday which included 2 doubles, 2 high 20’s and 3 x 30’s to 38lb. Torrential rain all day Monday/Tuesday slowed the fishing down but managed another 10 fish to 34lb giving a total of 19 for the week.
The cray fish are an issue when fishing boilies so either plastic baits or hard cork ball boilies sorts this out. You are able to walk round the other side of the lake to bait up your spots so didn’t need to use a spod rod this week, although fishing in open water may have been more productive on the days it was raining heavy.
Great facilities where you have a fridge in each cabin along with another fridge, separate freezer and microwave in the shared kitchen. Very clean shower and toilet.
Overall a great week and I will definitely be returning at some point.
Thanks Bruno Simond !

A catch report from George Vawser :
Well where to start just got back from probably my best weeks fishing as a angler and couldn’t have asked for a anything more.the facilities were spot on everything we needed was there and if we needed something bruno was only a message away and always tried to help as much as he could.
The fishing started off abit slow for me at the start with only 1 fish in the first 48hrs.then the rain come and it kicked off for the rest of the week.all rods were in different spots and produced fish off all areas but a lot come out of the shallower water nearing the boat point where the water temperatures was very warm.all fish come off plastic baits as the crayfish were active and the fish definitely love a good munch having nearly used 40kg of bait and ended up with 51 runs landing 34 fish all from 12lb to 42lb 2oz resulting in
2x40s
7x30s
11x20s
14x under 20
Thanks again Bruno Simond for a brilliant week will most definitely be coming back soon.
A catch report from Adam Hilliard
What an amazing time spent here! Fishing tight to the island and far bank produced some really hard fighting, beautiful carp. All in excellent condition! Would definitely come back here. Thank you Bruno Simond for an amazing week. Hope to see you again soon!

A catch report from Danny Banks & Luke Carbutt :
When arriving very early Saturday morning just as the sun was rising we had a good look around the lake, we saw a lot of fish towards cabin 2, but after a little discussion between us we decided to give cabin 1 a chance as we fished cabin 2 last year!!
We spent a few hours with the marker rods finding some potential feeding spots and when we were both happy with our areas we introduced around 5 kilos of boilie onto the spots!
The first day passed with silent alarms and our first thoughts was that we were in the wrong area as fish were still showing towards Cabin 2.
On the Monday we started to see a few more fish towards our spots then around 1pm my left hand rod ripped off out of the blue resulting in a 36.08 mirror which started off the week for us!!
Later that day around 8pm the same rod was off again!! awesome take and fight and the outcome was a stunning 41lb common!!
Throughout the week we had 20 fish between the 2of us! Including 2 at 41lb and a few 30s and rest 20s and a couple of doubles!
Overall the week was excellent and can’t recommend the lake and facilities enough! Bruno is a great host and will help you out as much as he possibly can!!
Can’t wait to return again next year!!!
