About the Lake
There are four double swims to choose from on this 5 acre lake, all gravel based and spaced equally around the venue, each with their own margin or open water to fish to.
Argueably the star of the show is the multi-level wooden platform, in front of the lakeside lodge and eating area. This gives a couple of anglers a very comfortable place to fish whilst also enjoying the facilities. This platform also provides a suitable option for less abled anglers to fish from.
Duquesne is kept quite natural and, whilst it isn't particularly weedy, you will find large overhanging margins with snags which you'll need to take into account when choosing where to place your baits. The average depth is around 2m, with a lake bed of mainly gravel.
There are some crayfish and poisson chat present here, as with many lakes in France. The poisson chat are more active in the summer months when it is hot. It is always best to go prepared and we recommend you take shrink wrap for your hookbaits or use plastic baits - you can find lots of information here for combatting crayfish in France.
Vehicle access is good to all swims for unloading and your vehicle can be parked by the facilities. The lake is fully enclosed and gated.
Rowing Boat
There is a rowing boat provided on site for your use, with lifejackets, which must be worn at all times.
Bait Boat Hire
You can hire a bait boat here for 70e for the week. A refundable deposit of 70e is also required, returned at the end of the week providing no damage. You can arrange this directly with the lake once your booking is confirmed (their contact details are supplied within your info pack).
