Details of your catches:
115 carp between us. 15 singles 19 doubles 50 twenties 21 thirties 10 forties biggest 47.15 (6 PBs for my fishing buddy Graham Duff aka Mr Bean)
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Under or on the edge of the far tree line canopy and right/left of the monk. Stalking at the top end produced a few as well.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, big shared freezer, own fridge space and charging space. 1 shower and separate toilet but never an issue and both clean. Sink/cooker/microwave if required.
Were you happy with them?
Yes, cannot fault them

General Comments:
Fishing was hectic at times to say the least and we were down to 2 rods each from Wednesday and even had to reel all rods in at times so we could cook/eat and get some sleep. All fish taken on either Marks owns plum boilies or Poacher Baits Tiger Nut/Maple on simple blow back or hair rigs but all fished alongside Marks parti mix and we used a lot of it. Listen to Mark and you wont go wrong, hes a proper nice guy with some funny stories to tell and his better half, Anita, is very nice and does a decent breakfast baguette. If we had fished it hard and were not so old and knackered, Im pretty sure we could have racked up a lot more fish. Special mention to Yvonne and her special skills as well.

Details of your catches:
Total 79 fish, 9 x 40, 17 x 30, 41 x 20 12 x Doubles, 2 x Muskats. Mixture of Commons, Mirrors, Grass & the odd Koi.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Far margin during the day and some success in the middle late evening. Used Marks baits tipped with plastic, parti-mix, pellets and hemp. Snowman worked well. I used a meshed bottom bait with plastic pop-up plastic. The 2 others used snowman then switched to bottom bait with plastic. After the second day we noticed the fish were showing a lot down the bottom of the lake, the younger two of 'Dads Army goes fishing' went down there during the day and did well. we only fish days from 10am - 10pm.

General Comments:
I have been fishing in France for over 25 years and this is the best run venue I have been to. Mark & Anita were on hand if we needed anything. Listen to Mark for advice who then left us alone to get on with it. A picnic bench on J7 would be handy. We are all getting on a bit now so we don't do many photos or video's. We have booked for the next 2 years as this is our favourite venue by far. Can't wait to get back there.

Details of your catches:
Mark: 29 carp to 41.3 (one 40, six 30's), plus a koi and a 32.0 grass carp Graham 23 carp to 46.0 (two 40's and 5 30's), plus 7 tench to 5.4 We also caught around 25 small carp 2-4lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
We used Jonchery plum boilies and spodded pellets. Nearly all fish were caught at night, no action during the days in the main swims but we caught a lot of fish in the afternoons by taking a couple of rods to the far end of the lake and fishing the margins with PVA bags. No fish rolling over baited areas despite good winds blowing down the lake and we could not seem to get the bigger fish feeding well over our baited areas. We had to use wafters as normal boilies were quickly whittled down by small carp.

Details of your catches:
Josh - 46 fish - biggest 45lb 8oz grass carp 2 × 40's, 13 x 30's, 17 x 20's, 6 x doubles, 8 x 'pasties' Dan - 54 fish - biggest 46lb 5oz common 2 x 40's, 8 x 30's, 26 x 20's, 6 x doubles, 12 × 'pasties'
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Fishing to far margin Used a variety of baits, all worked, including Cell, Scopex squid and pepperami Mainly fished bottom baits or wafters, didn't try pop ups as no need but I expect they would have worked also. Ended up using bigger baits, double 15mm to try and deter the smaller pasty sized carp
Were the facilities what you expected?
Facilities are fine, shower was nice and hot
Were you happy with them?
Overall yes. It is a long way from J7 especially if you need the loo, our ridgemonkey toilet/bucket was a life saver! No toilet roll in the loo so take your own. You only get two plug sockets per swim so take an extension lead, you will also need euro plug adapters.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes definitely if you want plenty of action. Mark was a great bailiff, gave us the run down of the lake on arrival then left us to it without being interfering, but there if you need him. Food was lovely.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes used Angling Lines many times, always been excellent.
General Comments:
Never experienced such hectic fishing before! First half of the week was best, struggled to keep more than 1 rod in the water, with double and triple takes. Take two nets! We intended to fish day & night but was just too hectic so we didn't fish nights. Slowed down second half of the week, smaller pasty carp became a nuisance. The biggest annoyance however was the musk rats! Which became very active towards the end of our week. Diving down and biting your hooks off! We tried everything to avoid them to no avail and they made the last few days almost un-fishable biting off our rigs within minutes of being in the water, ruined the last couple of days fishing. If you get a couple of bleeps which doesn't develop into a run, then you've been done by the rats! We discussed with mark, he is aware but cannot do anything until the winter, this really will need to be addressed.
