About the Lake
The lake itself is relatively square in shape. Tucked around the corner from the larger lake Jonchery, it's a quiet setting surrounded by trees and farmland.
One very large central swim easily takes up to 3 double bivvies and a utility tent, making it perfect for a social group of 2-3 anglers who want private use of a carp lake in France. The swim will enjoy sunshine for most of the day but it falls behind the trees mid to late afternoon.
The lake has some lovely features including overhanging bushes, a slightly deeper clay bottomed gully running down the centre and several sand and gravel areas to be found near the lake's inflow. The bottom is otherwise fairly uniform and silty, with an average depth of 1.2m.
Weed and snags are not a concern here, and although the occasional crayfish may be present, they’ve not been reported to interfere with fishing.
There are a number of small catfish present in the lake, to do your best to avoid these we recommend using sweet or fruity boilies or maize and avoiding strong smelling meaty or fishmeal baits.
The track to this lake runs alongside Jonchery main lake and there's good vehicle access to the swim. You can leave your vehicle parked behind your swim for the week (room enough for a van or campervan), however the rule is to only use the vehicle to drive to the facilities / leave the complex a maximum of twice per day, out of respect for other anglers on the complex. It's a 15 minute walk to reach the shower & toilet facilities (you're welcome to bring a bike too).
