Awesome lake with some very big fish, medhi the owner was very welcoming and helpful, will most definitely be back

Hard weeks fishing in general. 2 fish landed 2 lost, biggest fish out this week was a 42lb9oz carp. Fish showing all over the lake tried all different tactics to no avail.

Yes most definitely, the lake and fish stock are amazing and in pristine condition. BUT Mehdi should take at least half of the Sturgeon out as they become a pain. It is an experience catching one but after that it can wear thin. The carp in the lake will not grow to the potential as the sturgeon eat such a large amount of bait. The same sturgeon can get caught 2-3 time in the same week. that speaks volumes for the amount they eat. **Angling Lines Note** Thanks for the feedback Ashley. Back in 2005 Laroussi had a total of 11 sturgeon, over the years Mehdi has removed 5 and left the 6 largest sturgeon in the lake. In response to the feedback Mehdi has agreed to remove a further 2 sturgeon this winter, leaving just 4 in the lake. We will then see how we go and review again at the end of next year.

We have been out 5 times in the last 2 years always catching great looking carp.

Dave had 6 fish 2x 50s 1x40 2x30s and one double I had 6 fish 1x50 1x40 2x30 1x20 and 70lb catfish John unfortunately blanked

Fish were shying away from big beds of bait and a smaller approach seemed to work better

General Comments:

Mehdi superb as always, temperatures dropped for our week and a old northerly wind didn't make fishing easy, but still had a great week and a couple of great captures! will be back next april for another crack on this great water

Details of your catches:

Just two fish this time, a 34 and 46 Grass carp. It was a tough week and I couldn't get the fish going. Cold north winds driving in affecting me, while Craig next door and Dave next to him had a good haul, Mark and Andy did well too. I enjoyed the week and clearly there is much more about this lake I need to learn : = )
