General Comments:

Excellent fishing, stunning and peaceful location. A real bonus to have the cabin with TV, beds & all facilities. Both myself and my son caught our PB's. 34lb mirror for me & 37lb for Danny. We caught 64 in total. Richard very helpful.. Thanks

Details of your catches:

45 carp - 2 x 38lb mirrors, 1 x 37.5lb common, several other good 30lb+ mirrors. Average weight was low to mid 20's. There were some mid double commons but far outweighed by the larger fish.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished from Sunday to Wednesday, days only (8am to 8pm) - can't imagine how many I'd have caught (& how tired I would have been) if I'd fished 24hrs for 7 days! Fished from the Cabin Swim, casting to the island. Boilie fished over a boilie pellet PVA bag & boilies catapulted out. Did take fish from margin bushes - boilue over parti-blend. Used quite a lot of bait - 15kg boilies, 10kg pellet & around 10kg parti-blend.

Excellent! Cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Rick (the owner) is a fantastic host - full of knowledge of the lake & nothing too much trouble.

General Comments:

This is a fantastic venue! The lake is excellent & has been prepared with anglers in mind, leaving just enough margin snags to make it always possible to get a bite. The stock is spot on too - a good average size but with enough biggies to always keep you interested. Obviously the carp are very naive at the moment so easy to catch, but with this amount of stock I think it will always produce the goods.
