Mas Bas Main Lake Rules
Security Deposit; The security deposit is €500 (in cash) for Mas Bas Main Lake. This is payable on arrival and will be returned upon leaving after the check-out.
The French Tourism Tax; The local government 'Taxe De Sejour' is now payable between 1st April and 31st October each year. Each adult staying at Mas Bas will be subjected to the local government charge of approximately 1-2.30€ per day of their stay during this period (cost depends on how many adults are in your group). This is to be paid in cash on arrival (euros please) as the owners are legally required to pass this to the local council. A copy of the Taxe De Sejour will be available at the venue.
Lake Rules
- Only paying guests are allowed on the lake. The lead angler (the one who made the booking) is responsible for any damage caused
- Please do not use the bankside as a toilet. People found to be leaving faeces anywhere around the lake will be asked to leave immediately
- Bivvies or tents must be green. Radios must be used quietly. Fires are not allowed. Swimming is not allowed. Please leave no litter, cigarette ends and bottle tops must also be disposed of correctly
- The cutting of trees, bushes or lotus flowers is strictly forbidden
- The owners are not responsible for loss or theft during your stay. No refund given for early departure
- Micro-barbed hooks only
- The owners have the right to inspect fishing tackle and may stop the use of incorrect equipment, e.g. barbed hooks, small landing nets or unhooking mats
- Unhooking mats must be used (they are available for rent)
- Rods must not be left unattended, maximum of 4 rods per angler
- Any line that becomes snagged must be fully removed from the water. Under no circumstances should a line be cut and left in the lake.
- Please use a carp anti-sceptic like "klin-ik" if necessary
- You will be asked to leave for improper behaviour of any kind
- We provide carp cradles free of charge that we prefer you to use for the safety of our fish. There is a small security deposit for each, which will be returned at the end of the week if everything is okay
- Anyone under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times when fishing.
Accommodation Rules
- Please note arrival and departure times must be strictly adhered to. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER than 4pm and leave no later than 10am.
- Heating; logs are available to purchase for the wood burning stove if you wish to use this. If you require the gas central heating on an additional charge is payable for each cottage. Please speak to Gilles before you switch it on – he will explain the system to you and the costs
- BBQ’s must be left clean at the end of your stay
- None of the inside furniture, soft furnishings or bedding is allowed to be used outside
- Bed linen is supplied (please let us know in advance if you require and additional mattress protection for any of the beds). Bathroom towels are provided. However, clients are expected to supply their own pool towels and tea towels. Any clients found to be using the hand towels as tea towels, or bath towels as pool towels, will be charged for their professional cleaning.
- Lights to be switched off during the daytime
- Dogs are not allowed at this venue, even if they accompany friends visiting the clients
- Strictly no smoking in the house, please use the ashtrays provided outside
- Please only french toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilets, any other items should be put in the bins provided
- Infants under the age of two at time of travel are free of charge, but must be included on the booking
- The venue is not adapted to enable the charging of electric vehicles, the nearest charging station can be found in the local village Laroque-Timbaut
Cleaning
- The houses are clean and tidy for your arrival. If you should find anything not working correctly, or have any complaints, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do all that we can to put things right
- Two hours of cleaning per week is included in your rental price for holidays of two weeks or more. This will be organised at a mutually convenient time
- We ask you to leave the house as you find it on arrival. If you would like us to supply cleaners to help you with the final clean please let us know at the beginning of the last week of your holiday. The rate is 20€ per hour. This can either be paid in cash or deducted from your deposit
If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
