Arnie out again, 7th Jun

Arnold the fish has come out again at a massive 59lb 1 but what is so impressive about this capture apart from the great pictures is the time of year. He has come out right after spawning when some of our big girls are over 10lb down in weight. Being a male he doesnt drop as much weight but he still drops a good 5lb chasing the girls and not eating, so he is just a couple of weeks feeding off being a nice 60lb fish, here are the great pics

Little John at 50lb+, 25th Apr

Little John the common has made his first appearance on the bank over the magic 50lb barrier at a massive 50lb 4oz. An absolute beast of a fish with a massive wrist and huge tail that gives it a reputation for fighting hard. Little John was the icing on the cake of a great weeks catch including back up fish to 47lb!

Arnold the lakes biggest male came out recently at a massive 58lb 8oz to top off a bumper haul of over twenty fish for one good angler including loads of forties to 47lb+ , here are the pictures of just a few

Stocking at Villefond , 6th Mar

Great news for everyone fishing villefond this year, we have just recieved a new stocking of young fish.

We have added 30 carp over winter, 3 from our stock pond and 27 from a delivery from our fish farmer. The average weight was 19.75lbs. The stocking included some stunning fish including commons, linears, and scaley mirrors.

We know these smaller fish will bring our average weight down but we are hoping the new uncaught confident carp will encourage our wiser, older, bigger carp to feed a little more recklessly and hopefully they will also provide sport for less experienced anglers and provide sport inbetween catching our resident monsters.
