General Comments:

John and Debbie make you feel so welcome. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is incredible, the lake is stunning. But the service is best by far.

11 carp caught overall biggest 43lb and a 3lb perch.

A range of different tactics caught from pop ups the villafond rig to double corn

General Comments:

A very hard venue with big clever carp that take a lot of patience and skill to catch, if you get a beep at Villefond double check the carp is not coming towards you we had a lot of takes like this.

Details of your catches:

23 carp. Mostly 20’s but 2 x 50’s. Most fish came from the main open section of the lake and mainly during the day.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

12mm pop ups over a mix of pellet and crushed boilies seemed to bring best results. Casting/boating to showing fish, either bubbles or fish jumping also worked.

Yes, exactly as described. Shower did pack up but whilst waiting for a replacement we were offered showers at the owners house and shower was up and running before we left.

General Comments:

Food package was great and Debbie was very accommodating to peoples tastes.

Details of your catches:

Fish appeared to like wafters and beds of particle this week. However after a warm start we had torrential rain for 24hrs which slowed them down. Only for the last 36 hours to pick back up. Fished margins and 30-40m in front of swims. Island didn't do much in the way of catching. water level low due to the extended hot weather, so pegs 3 - 6 did better than the others.

Wafters worked, also popped up corn, boilies were ok. didnt really have chance to get into regular fish to see what exactly was making the difference. Squid & Plum Wafters (Invicta Angling Kent) DNA Wafters, Manilla Boilie with Active, Cell Boilie, Particle and maize also

Facilities were good, shower brilliant and warm every time. Food package was out of this world and worth every penny, if anyone is thinking about that you wont be disappointed.

Great week, and nothing was too much trouble. The lake has some beautiful fish. It's a great venue and anyone would have a good time fishing. It's not a runs water we found but more a target a fish at a time. But still a great week.
