Really lovely place, everything I could of wished for. Oh and the food package was awesome 😁😁😁😁 could not fault it. Also lovely people to talk to.

General Comments:

Thank you for a great holiday and a fantastic weeks fishing. Did not get to catch me 100lbs cat so I guess I best come back and have another go.

Details of your catches:

50lbs mirror, 48lb common, 45lb mirror, 43lb mirror, 38lb mirror, 28lb mirror, a 22lb grass carp and a few small carp to 10lb. Also the sturgeon was caught three times in the week at 59lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Small hooks size 8 balanced pop ups/corn, we could see the fish waking up towards the end of the week and were stating to take boilies.

Yes! all was fine!

I would recommend, there are a lot of good sized lumps in here and we plan to return.

Angling Lines have been excellent, as we had a few alterations near to our departure date but all was taken care of and trip went without a hitch.

General Comments:

A good trip to a new lake, went very smoothly and would not hesitate to use AL again.

Blanked unfortunately. The fish just weren’t at it. No shows. Hadn’t woken up from winter and just weren’t interested. In over 30 years of carp fishing I haven’t been beaten up so much by a lake, but Villefond bruised me !

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I tried everything. Spent some time with Mark and tinkered with things. Was trying things that nobody else probably has and just couldn’t get a proper pick up let alone a run. Tried everything from zig to wafter to critically balanced to naturals to fake to boilie. That’s fishing !

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, everything that you need. Clean and hot water. Debbie’s food is great 👍 best let your belt out a couple of notches when you get home ! Puddings were great too. Great swims and well maintained.

Yes and I will be returning next year as I won’t let this lake beat me up that much without a rematch !

General Comments:

Mark, Debbie and John are great hosts. Mark really tried but I just caught it wrong and they weren’t having any of it. Debbie’s food is great. John is a top top guy ! Great chats and laughs and always had a story to share. Brilliant people and great lake. Feel a bit bruised but, Arnie, I’ll be back 😉

Mark, John and Debbie were brilliant. Felt really welcome when we first arrived. Mark really knows his lake and gives you really good info (spots, rigs etc) john came down and made sure we had ice pack and always asked if we needed our power packs charging regular 👍👍👍 will be deffo returning.
